EDITED ON 8/28/2022: Spike Chunsoft did close the servers but only removed the ability to play ranked matches. In addition to keeping the ability to play quick battles and invite friends they also updated 2 achievements to be obtainable after the servers shut down so you can still complete the game.

EDITED ON 8/29/2022: So turns out that Jump Force is using Peer to Peer for it matchmaking which lets you still be able to play quick battles and friendly battles after they shut down the servers. Good news is that you can still unlock titles so the game is still completable. Good luck to everyone on the road to completing this game.

EDITED ON 12/25/21: Realized I probably should write that Jump Force currently is scheduled to have its online servers shut down on 8/24/22 and that this and all the other online achievements will no longer be available after that day.

Also Jump Force is scheduled to be delisted from the digital store on 2/7/22, if you have already bought it digitally then you should be able to reinstall it even after it is delisted.

As far as I know, all titles are online based so this might be an online-only achievement.

I don't know if there is list of titles that the PC community already discovered or not so I'm basing this list of titles off that I have and the patterns I'm seeing.

While 50 titles might seem daunting, I decided to break them down into 2 simple groups: Character Specific and Action Specific

Character Specific

These titles are your "play as 'a' character 'x' amount of times." There are at least 120 of them and they make up the bulk of the titles in the game.

Earth-Bred Saiyan - Finish at least one online match with Goku.
The Saiyan Prince - Finish at least one online match with Vegeta.
The Saiyan of the Future - Finish at least one online match with Trunks.

You don't have to play as the character, you just need to have them on your team. You do however, have to finish the matches. If you get disconnected the match does not count.

This means that there are at least 80 titles you can obtain without much effort, mostly time. But it would take at least 140 matches to do so.

You should also remember that there are two achievements for finishing 30 and 100 fights.





There is another set of titles for playing 50 matches as each character. I will not be attempting to unlock all of them as that would take about 700 matches and I personally don't have the time to play that many to verify the title names.

Edit: Found a faster method to unlock the character-specific titles only. But, even with this trick/glitch (more information at the bottom) it would still take a long time to unlock all the titles.

Edit 9/24/19: as of update 1.10 (7/18/19) and update 1.14 (9/18/19) we now have 3 new free characters - Kane, Galena, and Prometheus. These character DO NOT have titles associated with them.

However, it seems that the paid DLC characters DO have titles associated with them. So that's an extra 27 titles, bringing the total up to 147 character titles when all 9 paid DLC fighters are out.

Edit 9/26/19: Went on Steam to see if there was a list of titles and to my shock there was not. So went to Reddit and found some titles. Credit goes to: MrMagma03, StrictFatherlyFigure, and TrueG5G.

Action Specific

These are your generic "do 'x' 'y' amount of times" titles

I'll have them listed by how game has them but split by the requirements with some advice on how to unlock them:

Beginner - Win at least one online match,
Hard Worker - Win at least 5 online matches,
Dexterous - Win at least 10 online matches,
Powerful - Win at least 25 online matches.
Veteran - Win at least 50 online matches.

There are probably more related to winning matches (i.e. 100 wins), and I'll add them as I unlock them/get confirmation.

EDITED ON 8/29/2022: With the server closure and achievement changes to 'The Battle Begins' and 'Challenger' rematching a friend in Friendly Battle is the best way to go about this now since you need to fight an invited friend 10 times now.

Awakened - Awaken in an online match.
Beyond Awakened - Awaken 50 times in online matches.

Awakened Ability Expert - Use an Awakened Ability in an online match.
Awakened Ability Master - Use Awakened Abilities 50 times in online matches.
Awakened Ability Esoterica - Use Awakened Abilities 100 times in online matches.

Everyone's Power as One - Use an Awakening Team Attack in an online match.

Your Awakening Gauge is the diamond around character's face/icon. When it's at least at half you can Awaken by pressing the right stick. While you are Awakened, you deal more damage with combos and with abilities (at the cost of your gauge). The gauge slowly depletes itself while awakened and when it is empty or the round is over you'll return to normal. Simply Awakening unlocks the title.

The Awakened Ability also becomes available when you have at least half of your awakening gauge by holding +. You can use your awakened ability regardless of your gauge if you are awakened. I believe that your attack has to connect for it to count.

An Awakening Team Attack is to Awaken while attacking. Your teammates will then attack the enemy for you while you awaken I think this also has to connect for it to count.

Pursuer - Perform one Escape Counter in online matches,

When an opponent escapes by using LB (you'll see a pinkish/reddish aura) you have to follow them by also pressing LB. You'll need some energy in the mobility gauge to chase and the timing on this is precise you have to do it AS they are escaping.

Basically the moment you see the enemy's aura flicker you have to spam LB to pull off the counter. You'll know you've done it when the game lets you perform the high-speed counter attack string.

Escapee - Perform a High-Speed Dodge in an online match.
Big Escape - Perform 50 High-Speed Dodges in online matches

Beginner's Luck - Perform a High-Speed Counter in an online match.
Miracle Maker - Perform 50 High-Speed Counters in online matches.
Miracle Master - Perform 100 High-Speed Counters in online matches.

To perform a high-speed counter, you have to press before you get hit WHILE having some energy in your mobility gauge.

A high-speed dodge, is that when you are the victim of high-speed counter press RB as you're getting hit. If you time it right AND have enough mobility, you'll break the counter and attack the enemy.

Speed Chaser - Perform a Pursuit Attack in an online match.
Sonic Bullet - Perform 50 Pursuit Attacks in an online matches.
Lightning Bolt - Perform 100 Pursuit Attacks in an online matches.

This is just the follow up to the basic X attack string. Basically, when you launch them with your X, X, X, if you appear behind them and land another hit that counts. It's performed by moving the left stick left or right while pressing A or X.

Guard Breaker - Perform a Guard Break in an online match.

A guard break is just to attack while holding down X or Y, if you release it while glowing red you can do a second attack. Either way this breaks an opponent's guard/shield. I believe it has to break the guard for it to count.

Rank

Rank also grants titles as you increase it.
You start off at rank D and it goes all the way up to rank S.

C-Ranker - Reach rank C by playing ranked matches.
B-Ranker - Reach rank B by playing ranked matches.
A-Ranker - Reach rank A by playing ranked matches.
S-Ranker - Reach rank S by playing ranked matches.

Ranked matches were removed when the servers shut down on 8/24/2022 so these titles are unobtainable

Notes:

These are the titles I currently have unlocked and there are definitely more and I will try to update this list when I can.

Also, based on the Pursuit Attack titles, I'm assuming that each action title (barring wins) follow the same pattern of going: x1, then x50, and then x100

This means that some action titles will be dramatically easier to get than others.

i.e. Using an Awakening Ability 100 times vs Performing 100 Escape Counters

I'm also assuming that there's a title for getting a perfect match and another for throw evasions.

There are no titles for replays, performing one throw, performing one area change, winning with an awakening finish, or having a perfect round.

I don't know if the default title counts or not

New Face - Acquired at game startup

Couldn't verify since I had 49 total then got 2 in a match and jumped to 51

I don't know if there are titles tied to multiplayer rank. I mostly stuck to friendly spamming throws hoping to get a throw evasion and spamming team awakenings.

There are titles tied to multiplayer rank, so added a section for that.

You can see the titles of others on the leaderboard in the hub-world (Second Floor above the mission counter in the main/center area). Unfortunately, this doesn't let you see how they unlocked the title.

But I've seen: Cream of the Crop, Undefeated Legend, God of Battle, Friendship, Hard Work, Victory, Pegasus Meteor Fist, and My Magic is Never Giving Up! to name a few.

And while I can make some assumptions about how to unlock these titles, like Pegasus Meteor Fist is probably play as Seiya 50 times. I'd rather confirm them first before adding them.

After a full day of playing online (54 matches) found a few more titles, debunked a few ideas, new ideas formed and were shot down, and one new idea might have some merit (will update if it leads somewhere). Changed the guide to reflect it.

What changed:

Corrected typos and grammar errors that I found (know that there are still more).
Named more of the use a character 10 times titles.
Finally got disconnected a few times, found out the game has to be finished for it to count.
Decided to unlock all use a character 10 times titles at least, since people have to unlock them if they go for 100 matches.
Found out there are no use a character 25 times titles.
Found out there ARE use a character 50 times titles.
Decided to not add all of the use a character 50 times titles as 520+ matches is a long time.
Decided to attempt to see if there are use a character 100 times titles, but will not add them outside of a mention for completionists.
Strongly believe that there are only up to 3 tiers for each of the non-victory related action titles (x1, x50, and x100) based on the belief that I think I've done over 250 pursuits. There is no way to track this stat so I could be mistaken, so if there is a x500 one I will edit solution if I can get some proof.
Added more to the awakening section and added more to escape master.
Changed my example for easy vs hard x100 action titles from Awakening and perform Guard Breaks to use Awakened Abilities and perform Escape Counters.
Found out saving or watching replays don't have titles.
Found out a perfect round doesn't have a title either, still believe a perfect match will.

There are no use a character 100 times titles.
Added all the use a character 10 times titles by using method below, did 108 matches in about 4 hours including small breaks.
Added use character 50 times section, if people want to lie about the names in the comments it'd better be funny.
Strongly believe all titles, barring winning matches have up to 3 tiers.

Forfeiting Glitch?

So the idea I had actually worked, kind of. You know, like passing a class with a 'D'.

If you forfeit it counts a match.

So, yeah you can just start up a match of friendly, forfeit. and then repeat with NO CONSEQUENCES*!

*The only real consequence of forfeiting a friendly match is that whoever is the victim does not really get the win.*

The match will show up in the battle log unlike disconnected matches as if the match counted (what gave me the idea in the first place).

This will probably be patched out eventually (nine DLC characters means at least nine patches) but the option is there for now.

If you plan on doing this to unlock all the titles, then I strongly recommend taking regular breaks. It is after all, 700 matches total minimum and you add match for every team roster mistake you make.

This means math wise: if you have a match every 2 minutes, that is 30 matches each hour, which means 23.3 hours minimum to unlock all the use all of the use a character 50 times titles in the base game.

Beat the story, beat post-story, and S-ranked every free mission (186 free missions, and even did the 6 tutorial missions for a total of 192) and no titles unlocked. So all titles are online only and changed the guide to reflect it.

Edited it 9/24/2019 as well, but said all I needed in that block of text. This time added 10 entries to the list of titles that unlock at 50 games played via Reddit.

Because of that list I went back to the leaderboards in Jump Force and found more examples. Replaced them where appropriate.

Climbing ranks grant titles too so added that.

DLC characters grant titles too, but I don't have them purchased so I can't confirm the names. Based this off the leaderboard, where I saw the title 'Plus Ultra' which most likely belongs to All Might.
