How to unlock the Clocked at 32 mph achievement in Jurassic World Evolution - Definitive Guide

I have to give credit to player Chaos Mythology for Co-writing this guide. If you have any questions or are not clear with something post below before leaving negative feedback.

************This Achievement can be done on the newer islands. Isla Matancerros is probably the best one to try this. My Guide is made for Isla Nublar which was the only island available on challenge mode at the time this achievement came out.***************

Tips before starting
1. Be familiar with the game and its mechanics. Especially dinosaur needs.
2. Save every few minutes. I have a timer for every 15 minutes. Create multiple saves if you need to. If something bad happens like a tornado or a massive breakout, sabotage. You can step back to your previous save.
3. Time is you enemy. Aesthetics are not very important but you still need to manage your space well and be organized for a high facility rating.
4. Play on Medium difficulty
5. try installing the higher level fences for your raptors and other troublesome dinosaurs.
6. Try to mix as many dinosaurs into the paddocks as you can. To save space.
7. If by 60-80 minutes in you are not at 2 stars i would recommend just start over.

5 star dinosaur rating: For This you need to get 5000 Rating points on dinosaurs Feel free to use whatever combinations work for you. But i would strongly recommend to at least build the first 3 paddocks from my list and then you can diversify from there, just make sure to have 5k before the 3 hours.

A tip i tried from player Pthe5: is that the herbivores except the sauropods were hatched with only 50% genome, to get them into the park fast and start generating money and dinosaur rating to level up fast.
Your carnivores and sauropods should all be hatched as close to 100% as possible since those dinosaurs have higher rating values.

The dinosaurs i used to get 5 stars were:

Triceratops
Edmontosaurus
Struthiomimus
Corythosaurus
Ankylosaurus
Chrichtonsaurus
Ceratosaurus
Velociraptor
Dilophosaurus
Metracrantiosaurus (whoever its spelled)
Baryonix
Deynonychus
T Rex
Indominous Rex**
Indoraptor**
Brachiosaurus
Camarasaurus
Torosaurus* optional
diplodocus* optional

*Some of these dinosaurs are unlocked via the research center under fossils. So keep checking that section every time your rating goes up.
Sell Every fossil that you get for every dinosaur that you will not use.

** As soon as you get the Velociraptor and the Trex dig sites available focus all your efforts in getting their genomes at 100% or you will not be able to get indominous and the indoraptor. You can still 5 star the island without these 2 dinosaurs but it is much more difficult. You might need to compensate with other dinosaurs such as more of the sauropods (long necks) or other carnivores.

The combination below got my dinosaur rating to 5 stars as long as they are fed and do not have any diseases.

Now i will list how many paddocks and quantities of each dinosaur i had

Paddock 1.(first paddock you have to build)
Triceratops x6
Edmontosaurus X1
Struthiomimus x2
Corythosaurus x3
*During the late game you can replace dead triceratops and struthiomimus with torosaurus.

Paddock 2.
Ceratosaurus x3
Velociraptos x6

Paddock 3.
Metrachatriosaurus x2
Dilophosaurus x12

Paddock 4
Ankylosaurus x4
Chrichtonsaurus x2

Paddock 5
Baryonix X2
Deynonychus x 8

Paddock 6* optional you can put the t rex in paddock 8
T rex x1

Paddock 7
Indominous rex x1(to get this you need a 100% t rex and 100% velociraptor Genome.)

Paddock 8(the last one i managed to work on as time ran out)
Camarasaurus x3
Brachiosaur x 3
T-rex x1 (this is an additional t rex from the one on paddock 6 so this means i had 2 T rex total)

Paddock 9 (if you are running low on time just keep him in a hammond center and release him at the end when you are going for the last part of the 5 stars instad of building a paddock)
Indoraptor x1

*I have been replaying this and found that instead of the indoraptor, you can just focus on getting more brachiosaurs, camarasaurus and diplodocus in Paddock 8. And Omit Paddock 9 Completely

Starting the Challenge

start building 2 power plants. a Hammond lab, expedition center and fossil center.
Get the expedition center working as fast as you can. Start working on a dig site. I started with triceratops.( i tried starting with other dinosaurs and got slower starts with the others) (get an ACU and ranger station whenever you actually need them) The research center you dont really need it until you are a one star rating. But as soon as you hit one star make sure you have it or build it asap.

The whole game the expedition center is your cash cow. As you level up your island you will unlock better dig sites, research, etc.

As soon as you can try to get a research center and upgrade your dig teams, fossil yield on the expedition center and fossil capacity.(use all 3 upgrade slots on these.) These are your priority upgrades!. You can have up to 3 dig teams.

Whenever you can. Try to have each paddock (in my case Paddock 1,2,3,5,9) to have its own Hammond lab. so you can just spawn the dinos into their paddocks without having to move them. A second use for those Hammond labs is you can spawn struthiomimus into them whenever you have a few spare seconds. So the carnivores can eat them and gain extra rating thru infamy. (i would do this whenever i had a few spare seconds between building, and waiting for expedition teams to return)

Island Facilities.

You need 5-6 Hotels.
From the other buildings you only need the Arcade, Restaurant and Clothing shop. You can max out most stats by combining these 3. buildings. (fast food and gift shop will work fine at the beginning until you can research the other 3 buildings.)
Also remember to max out the staff on each building menu.
Try to keep dinosaur visibility high. And if you can afford it build a monorail.(Although i unlocked this without one).
You will need to have enough Shelter Coverage (it took me 4 shelters)

I had all hotels and facilities close. That way you need to build less shops.

Try to keep your Facility rating at 5 stars or close to 5 stars right from the start. Dont wait until the end.

Here are both Layouts.

Layout 1 is my layout. I know its not there completely. On the top behind the HUD there are 2 power plants and an expedition center
The part that is cut down at the bottom there's nothing just fences and 1 lone Hammond lab to assist with hatching long neck dinosaurs.

Layout 2 is Chaos Mythology's Layout,(the first person to get the achievement on TA) he only used the top half of the island.

That sounds like a good idea to have al the sauropods with the t rex and velociraptors.
I am trying another park layout and will post it once i actually pop the achievement.

Great guide, cheers man! Managed to get the achievement in 02:39. Only thing I had different though was instead of camarasaurus I ended up with 3 tyrannosaurs, mainly due to it taking forever to get the D.N.A and hatching them, and also treated my carnivores to a LOT of struthi snacks.

Yes, got it... finally with ur guide nearly a walk in the park!
Excellent work Gdinut and Chaos!

I used the park layout from chaos and optimized it a bit for my playstyle and beat the clock at 2:52.

My park looks nrly the same... Only change was to put all Hammond labs, the acu and the power plants all south of the 3 lower paddocks. In this way I had much more space on top and it was easier for me to build.

I pushed my early Dinos only to 50% and then sold all other fossils for a early big wallet. At the end u have enough big boy dinos with 100% to get the 5000 Dino starpoints easy.

In detail. Layout is the same as Chaos Mythology
Build order:
Exped. Center, fossil enter, small plant. - - >and instant go for triceratops fossils to hit 50%. 1st paddock, research lab - - > go for breed chance upgrade and as soon as u can for the first shops (restaurant and clothes) - with the arcade later the only 3 shops u need to satisfy ur guests...

Then hatch 6 triceras and build ur first shops. during tric hatching go for struthi and edmonto fossils. Same here 50% is enough. Build 2 struthi and 2 edmonto and parallel to them the 2nd paddock for Cerato.

You don't need to research much for ur dinos. I only researched the colors and later (when unlocked) the 2 skills with the goat and the lobster icon (don't know the name, sorry). U don't need more, trust me and save the money...

When ur first Cerato popped (only modded with the skills u allready have and the savanna color) u should hit ur first star. Build 2 more so u have 3 in total... Parallel go for the newly unlocked raptor fossils. These fossils are the first u will max out to 100% before building a raptor. Build 6 of them and get them into the 2nd paddock with the Ceratos.

Ps: go for digging income upgrade as it's unlocked to max ur income!

Now go for Corytosaur fossils (50%) build 3 of them in paddock 1.
Paralell research the baryonix and max it to 100%. Build the small 3rd paddock (chaos mythology layout in the northwest corner) and settle them there. 2nd star unlocked. never forget to build new hotel/clothes/restaurant/arcade hubs near ur viewing gallery's to keep ur facility rating constant at 5 und have a stable extra income.

Now go for the trex fossils up to 100%, Paralell build paddock 4 (the big one south). When Rex is rdy go for 100% deinonychus, build 4 and and settle them in paddock 4. Paralell to your Rex fossil grind u will get enough torosaur fossils to hit 50%. As Toro don't need much space, split a part of paddock 1 and create a subpaddock there for 2-3 toros.

Now focus on the big herbivores. Brachio, carama and diplodocus. Max them to 100 (diplodocus should be the first). Build 3 to 4x 100% diplodocus and 1 Brachio for paddock 4 and u easily hit the 3rd star.

Since u have raptor on 100%, trex on 100% and hitted the 3rd star u can now research indominus. Do this and build paddock 5 for him in the west. Research ur new breeding chance upgrades and build him. with all upgrades he will cost about ~9.xxx.xxx and give u about 7xx dinostar rating. Paralell to this build 2 ankylosaurus (should have come to 50% during fossil money farming). Put them to the torosaurus in sub paddock 1. During this u should hit the 4th star.

During money farming with fossils try to aim early for the parasaurolopus (50%) fossils since u will need them soon.
After research ur breeding chance upgrade 3.0 will help u to breed the last big boys u need easily. First u should check that u have ur facility rating at 5. Then build ur last paddock Nr 6 (Chaos Layout, the big one in northwest). Instead of an indoraptor I build a 2nd 100% Rex for this paddock, because hes cheaper and hatches faster. Paralell to this Rex build 2 carama for paddock 4. Then fastbuild 2 parasaurolopus in paddock 1 for the subpaddock.

At this moment u should have: 5 hotel/shop hubs near ur viewing points to have facility rating at 5 stars (and yes 5 hotels are enough)

And u should have 1 trex, 2 carama and 2 parasaurolophus Rdy in ur Hammond labs... Now since ur facility rating is at 5 and ur Dino rating is on something about 4,x... Release them and the achievement should pop instantly if u were fast enough to manage it under 3hrs.

If u followed this guide u should have enough dinos with enough Gen mods to hit the 5000 starpoints and to get enough species to erase the species variety Malus and get a 5 star Dino rating.

The dinos are

6x triceratops (50%)
2x struthiomimus (50%)
2x edmontosaurus (50%)

3x ceratosaurus (50-100%)
6x velociraptor (100%)

2x baryonix
3x corytosaurus (50%)

2x Rex (100%)
4x deinonychus (100%)
3-4x diplodocus (100%)
1-2x brachiosaurus (100%)
2x camarasaurus (100%)

2x torosaurus (50%)
2x ankylosaurus (50%)
2x parasaurolophus (50%)

1x indominus (100%)

Good luck with this achievement!

Seems legit, i didint check the difference in rating for the lower tier dinosaurs, but that will save a lot of time and money. i will give it a try. I think i might be able to clock as low as 2:30 with those tips.

I just hit five star at 2:53 without the endorapter or the indominus, my issue seems to be that neither five star or the five star medium in under 3 hours popped.

What is the trigger point? the moment the congrats screen shows up or when you go back to main menu? any help would be appreciated!

If you press A on the congrats screen it takes you back to your park and you can keep playing. What dinosaurs did you have? I've seen cases without the indoraptor but without the indominous, this is a first

damn. I was afraid of that. I tried reloading the save and i keep getting the victory screen. Tried reinstalling and still a no go. scared to even waste another run at it without guarentee of it popping.

I had a total of 73 dino, basically just researching every dino available until third star, then getting more selective for the brachiosauraus and the diplodocus. metricanthosaurus and last dino I popped was the spino when i hit four stars.

By EndxofxTime on 23 Sep 2018 02:47
I choose the Indoraptor over the Spino, because as soon as you hit 4 stars you can just do the research instead of going thru having to dig/ extract fossils. But yes i think a Spino works as a substitute for the indoraptor.

@EndxofxTime it should pop as soon as you 5-star the island. Maybe check your achievement dash and see if they are sitting on "Unlocked" atleast?

Also as an interesting aside, I managed to get this too without using the Indominous Rex or Indoraptor

I did another run for this achievement and tried some of your tips, with some positive results. I did improve my time an did manage to get this without the indoraptor. I still used the indominous. but also figured out he can also be replaced if needed.
I will update the solution and give credit to you guys. I am guessing this can be done as low as 2:30 or 2:35 on a perfect run. I did 2:50 but i wasted around 15 minutes for some reason my dig expeditions were not returning with the high value fossils you can sell, so my economy stalled a bit.

Cool!, i made some edits on the solution, i have been playing this every once in a while. And the Indoraptor is not really necesary, its quicker just to Keep pushing out Long neck Dinosaurs

That might be the problem, because the 1.4 patch only had isla nublar. The other islands were added in 1.6. So i wouldnt know for sure if this can be popped on the newer islands or if it has to be done on nublar. If someone confirms this, let me know so i can update the solution

Maybe the 1.4 update challenges only work with the original island and not those added in 1.6.

That would suck because I’m doing Jurassic difficulty on Muerta myself.

Thank you for this info!. Now i know for sure this works on the new maps and should be easier for anyone else trying this from now on.

When this came out you could only do this on Nublar, which is much harder than matancerros.

The 2nd Dr. Wu island is super small. Would that one be pretty easy, or does having more space help out? I took a break from the game after the original 1k and played other things. I had a little bit of a tough time with Dr. Wu's missions trying to remember how things worked. I gotta do sanctuary next then will try challenge modes.

What makes it easier or harder are the requirements of each island and not the size. from the main menu on challenge mode you can see the difficulty and the par time on each island, Lower difficulties and lower par times are what you want. I know 100% mattancerros should be the easiest one for all none island specific challenge mode achievements. I think muerta has the same requirements than matancerros. The rest are just a bit more harder.

Thanks for the reply! I am a bit intimidated with challenge mode due to the research and everything being reset, but it seems like only a few important things need to be researched. I'm sure I'll Figure it out at some point!

If you bump into any walls send me a message here or on xbox live and i can help out. If you follow the guide you should be fine. As when i wrote this you could only do challenges on nublar which is much harder than mattancerros.

I think the easiest map for this is actually Nublar North. If you capture the dinos at the start, you get several brachiosaurus, stygimoloch and gallimumus, when housed, and a hotel/restaurant/clothing shop are build, instantly boosts you to over two stars (at least it did on Easy). I was on 2.5 star in my challenge playthrough just by doing that.I figure the stars will be somewhat lower on medium, but still. Having brachiosaurus from the start of the park greatly boosts your income in the beginning.

When the game is paused does this stop the timer?

By Fordie17 on 14 Feb 2020 10:19
i cant really confirm without actually going into the game. But i believe it pauses it. I also think time either pauses or goes slower when you are in the menus. As i spent a lot of time in them and did not feel as it hurt my runs. But you can open a quick fresh game and check.

Jurassic Park era is the way to go with timed challenges if you have the DLC. I've watched a few Clocked at 32 mph videos in Jurassic World era and not one of them hit 5 stars in less than 2 hours 54 minutes. However in Jurassic Park era videos, I've seen a few do the challenge with 20+ minutes to spare. I got mine at the 2 hour 46 minute mark in Park mode.

I found it interesting you did not have to get an indoraptor to get this under the clock.
I would 100% my dinos as they have better rating the higher their DNA completion is. Also they have a lower fail rate for hatching.
One more reason and you might have noticed that. Is that until you have 100% of a genome complete the game might not allow you to sell the fossils for said dinosaur. forcing you to either extract it or just leave it taking space in your fossil center.
I will try doing this again with another layout. One big problem i had is to get the Trex at 100% since his fossils are on dig sites with many other dinosaurs. I would get fossils from everything else but the trex and i wasted a lot of time just getting the T rex to 100%

Great guide to start out. I screwed myself at first because I spaced on the Toro/TRex dig site and unlocked TRexit too late. I still finished at 3:08. Reloaded a save at 1:32 and would’ve had it at 2:46 but my facility rating decided to drop to 4.9 stars. In the end it bumped back up and I got 5 stars at 2:56.

I used TRex, Indominus and six brachiasours, otherwise I used the same pen builds are you.

A couple of other things. I had about 17 mil around 2 hours so I made a rush to get the succes rate 3.0 and high level modifications. I then put 2x sucesss rate 3.0 and one reaction 3.0 on the Hammond centers. I would the apply gene mods till the sucess rate to the Dino until it was about 40%, this would ensure it was 100 incubation rate. This would give me brachisarous in the mid to high 200s. Indominous was over 500 and TRex 400s if I remember right. It made the incubation slow, but gave me more bang for my buck, especially for the TRex and Indominous that are by themselves.

Using Kennyannydennys comment, Nublar North, if you have the DLC is pretty easy too because of the free dinos. I just finished on Medium in Jurassic Park era in 2:23. You need 5k Dino score but you get basically to two stars free. I finished without any real worries and probably could have completed faster but will apply lessons learned when trying for Hard in 4 hours. I wasted a lot of time focusing on smaller herbivores without actually getting any because I thought I would need for variety bonus of 12 that wasnt needed.

I had 8 pens in the end. 1 Pen of 6 Pachy's. 5 of which were free, so I added one more. A pen of the 5 free Gallimimus. The big pen of 5 Brachesaurs and 7 Apotasaurs. 3 of the Brachesaurs were free. One pen full of 6 Triceratops and 9 Stego's. 3 of the Triceratops were free. One pen of 3 Ceratosaurs which were the first dinos I actually hatched to get to 2 stars. I had a small pen of 4 Ankylosaurs. Another pen of 2 Baryonyx. Another pen of 2 Metracaurs (the faction reward from Dr Grant, smaller T-Rex looking things that only come from the single site in the UK). I had the full 6 Pteradon aviary. I also had 2 Spinosaurs but the achievement popped once the first hatched.

I only had to do minor save scrubbing fortunately. I would have also focused on Dr Sattler more even though her contracts are usually hatch a dino with a specific mod, because she gives the 3 dig team which if I had before 4 stars would have made the 2 to 4 star part a lot faster.

Yes, on my first try with this guide before optimizing my build I got the 5th star after 3:11 and I think the main problem was my late 100% Rex because I only Got mass Toro fossils.

After reloading an early save of this try on my 2nd walktrough I hit the 2:52 and I think it was because I got my Rex to 100% rly fast by mainly using 2 of the 3 possible dig sites (the one with the dozen of Dinos in wasn't needed to get the Rex to 100... Luck with fossils... Rng...I think...

With the fossil selling you are right. You can't sell all of them until your Dino is 100%. But u can sell some of them and can manage the income of fossil types by focus on specific dinosaurs. And rly important is the early access to the dig income upgrade. With this your early income make you more flexible and allows you to hatch many big boys parallel in midgame.

For the rating of your Dinos. U need 5000 dino points to get 5 stars on medium. For examples a normal struthi gives me 10 and maxed to 100% gives me 12. Instead maxing him early I sell every possible fossil I got money for it, room for other fossils, I save time to extract other DNA of better rated Dinos and I save the extract costs.
And as you see I only focus on specific Dinos with the 100%. These are Dinos with high Star bases like the carnivores or the big herbivores in mid/endgame. The early Dinos like tricera and edmonto have such low star ratings that it's not nessesary to push them to 100. Waiting for 100% and then build them is a bad idea in the same way as rebuild them after having them maxed out. They only nessesary for the species total count to hit the 15+ species and for the 5000 star rating u build the big dudes with 100%.

With the build order I posted top u get the exact amount of species and enough Dino rating to hit the 5000pts wall :-)

I unlocked both this and Jurassic difficulty on Matanceros.

I got the speed run in 2.28. I used 57 dinosaurs and picked them mainly because they became available sooner so I ended up having most of their genome and also because the majority of them are easy to manage without any mods. Matanceros requires 12 unique species with a rating of 3200.

I had only two Hammond Labs with gates to the enclosures. The following is sorted in the order I made each enclosure and how I grouped them together in that enclosure:

- Corythosaurus x3
- Edmontosaurus x3
- Struthiomimus x2
- Triceratops x6

- Ankylosaurus x3
- Crichtonsaurus x2

- Chungkingosaurus x4
- Huayangosarus x4
- Diplodocus x8

- Dilophosaurus x10
- Ceratosaurus x3

- Deinonychus x8
- T-Rex x1

Definitely focusing on expeditions is the way to go. I upgraded the Expedition Centre with all dig yields, had three dig teams and upgraded the Fossil Centre with all inventory space. Then I just researched whatever I needed; more power, more success rate, etc.

The only genetic items I researched were Stress Inhibitor for the carnivores during storms and Immune Response for extra lifespan, resilience and rating.

If anyone wants a more visual guide, I highly recommend Mr. Reign on Youtube. His guide was created when it was only Isla Nublar but I did it on Isla Matanceros in 2:33. His video series has a layout of what buildings to buy first as well as upgrades and what dinosaurs he used in his pens, since Mattancerros only needs 12 species and 3200 you don't need everything he puts in his park. I didn't have anywhere near what he had because he used the Indominus Rex and Indoraptor, as well as using 12 Dilophosaurus and 2 Metriacanthosaurus where I only had 4 Dilo and 1 Metra so it does give you a lot of wiggle room. Most of my stars came from the last 20 mins with 3 Diplodocus, 3 Brachiosaurus, 3 Camarasaurus, and 1 T-Rex in one giant pen which can have more of the Sauropods if you want as well. If you have all the DLC there are a few other dinos you can play around with like Iguanadon and the like but I just followed his guide as a roadmap for what to put into pens and how to make them cost and size efficient. Also the facility rating is easy since dinosaur Viewing doesn't matter, you just need enough Viewing rating for the Food/Drink/Fun/Shopping to count since only those 4 matter at all.

I'm not a fan of speedrunning stuff in games like this but honestly it wasn't that bad. Even with storms making my Velociraptors uncomfortable my Ceratasaurus kept scaring them enough to where they didn't attack the fence too often.

I found it much easier to finish Challenge mode in Jurassic Park; everything is cheaper and there are fewer dinosaur species available so your total required for the 5 stars is lower. That and it’s much easier to just build paddocks around a single tour path than having to build paths and the windows for each paddock. Also cuts down on the number of facilities you’re required to build.

As far as contracts, Dr. Malcolm will be your best friend; most of his are very simple timed ones, either don’t let the power go out or don’t let the carnivores eat half a dozen people.

I used Matanceros, built all the support buildings in the corner behind the large rock you can’t demolish. Two hotels, two restaurants by the tour, the final star came after adding two Raptors and a T-Rex to the island. In Park mode, you don’t have to worry as much about visibility, since as long as the dinosaurs are anywhere near the tour vehicles they count as visible to the guests.

I got mine at the 2 hour 44 minute mark in Park mode. I rushed out the socially minimum number of herbivores as soon as they were reasonably viable to meet the variety goal but got the large majority of my dinosaur stars from 3 paddocks jammed with a dozen 100 point Dilophosaurus and three 185 point Apatosaurs each.
I built essentially the same park on Matanceros in Park era three times, refining as I went, for this, then Fast for a Biped? and finally Jurassic measures.
