You can earn this during Mission 4 of the 'Return to Jurassic Park' DLC.
At one point, you will be asked to gather fossils and incubate 4 different dinosaurs.
Send a research team to the dig site in Europe and it will bring back fossils of the Stegosaurus. Research the fossils like normal, and you will eventually hit that 50% genome sequence (should only take one trip)
Add the stegosaurus to the hatchery and wait a couple of minutes.
Release it.
You now have your achievement in under 2-hours, in comparison to the 10-15 hours it would take in the normal campaign.

You can get the genome for the Stegosaurus when you start on the fifth island, Isla Sorna. To get the genome for the Stegosaurus you will have to send out dig teams, see Fill in the holes and complete the code for information on how to completing a genome.
When the dig teams return with the fossils you will have to extract the DNA from the fossils. Once you hit 50% genome you can incubate a Stegosaurus and release it, see Life finds a way on how to incubate a dinosaur. Once it is released you will get this trophy.
