How to unlock the Avid reader achievement in Jusant - Definitive Guide

Hi All

Letters make up the majority of collectibles in the game. 56 in total including journal entries from Bianca.

Should you miss any chapter select becomes available at the end of the game highlighting how many missed in each chapter. There a no letters in chapter 6.

Tracker stopped working for me at chapter 5 (after quitting at the start and resuming later) but the achievements unlocked just fine.

@Heidelbergcd74 - it was typo in the timestamps I have fixed it now, there are 7 letters and 1 journal entry in Chapter 2.

Would love a guide where the collectibles are numbered after their place in the gallery, so that you can find what you're missing quickly, instead of resetting the with every chapter.

I don't think this requires Bianca's Journal logs, because I popped this with all 44 regular letters and I still have one Bianca journal (#11) to collect.

Thanks! Was following another guide that missed a letter in Chapter 3, luckily it was the first non Bianca one in that chapter and it was shown here correctly.

Just a heads up as i had a little trouble, I think there is a letter out of order here. Chapter 3. Letters 3 and 4 are the wrong way and letters 7 and 8 are the wrong way.

There are 57 letters throughout the game: two types. Collect all 57 and get this achievement and Final ascent Achievement.

There are a grand total of 105 collectibles across the first five chapters of the game; there are no collectibles in Chapter 6. Those collectibles take the form of:
 
  • Letters/Bianca's journal entries - these are simply posted on walls or lying on the ground/a table for you to read
  • Shells - lying on the ground but hidden in comparison to letters. You need to wait for a 10-15 second long cutscene with each shell you pick up
  • Altars - large stock statues that you need to rotate. These are buried in the depths of the structure and are the least likely for you to find naturally
  • Frescos - giant walls paintings that you need to press dpad-up.png near to use an echo and turn them blue. Always well off the main path but not tricky to find
  • Cairns - rock piles that you just need to interact with for them to count. Typically found just to the side of the main path
In terms of tracking, you can view your letters and gallery from the pause menu at any time. Once you beat the game, you can see which chapters have collectibles missing, and you can replay chapters to get them.
