How to unlock the Bridge Limbo achievement in Just Cause 2 - Definitive Guide

The achievement description is a bit misleading. The "unique" means that only one pass per bridge is counted and that somehow some bridges do not count for whatever reason. My guess is as good as yours why. I suggest however to go for big bridges with a big span as low bridges that link some Wetlands seldom count. You should have no trouble getting this if you can be bothered to fly low for an hour. I suggest taking a slow airplane if you should happen to crash a lot.

I will try and write down some coordinates of bridges I flew under to get this achievement. As I believe there are more than 30 bridges out there this list won't be complete. I invite you however to leave a comment with coordinates so that eventually we will have a complete list!

Update: coordinates also available on a nifty map made by Namcres at https://www.desmos.com/calculator/8aqwjedi5l. Enjoy!

If you should wonder how to see the coordinates, go to your map by pressing cn_back and look in the top right hand corner. You might need to zoom out in order to see them depending on the map background.

There is also a Youtube video on this topic. I take no credit for it! The author is steve0384. The video outlines different bridges than I did in my solution. This might help you if you have trouble getting the achievement!

Good work , just a note to add maybe to make this easier for some. You DO NOT actually have to be in the air for it to count, ill explain :D

As you play the game you will mostly be driving, on the main roads where there are bridges crossing over them, Simply hop out and call the black market for a plane and DRIVE under the bridge, this will count and is a great way to get this as you go so to speak.

I found this much easier when using a fully upgraded Silverbolt from the Black Market. It's fast but handles pretty well and can fit under smaller bridges.

I agree with you. I used the same airplane. However I heard complaints form a lot of my friends that they absolutely disliked the flying in the game. The best solution for them was to take a slower airplane.

If you feel comfortable with Jets, the Silverbolt is the one to go for!

Thanks, I comfortably managed this with an un-upgraded Silverbolt without problems (well, the odd crash but I'm not brilliant at flying in this and it was my own fault for going in at the wrong angles!)

it seems worth noting that in my experience you can't be hold the brake when you fly under the bridge as it doesn't register

Interesting. Would you say that in your experience speed is an issue or just holding the break? What I mean is, can you fly slowly under a bridge and have it register or does it have to be at full speed? Does having neutral speed, as in not holding either break or throttle, count for the bridge pass? I have lent the game to a friend and would welcome if you could verify these scenarios.

Great guide, had no problems, only crashed twice, and took half an hour. Coordinates were massive help, just boom, boom, boom, done XD

Can you just do this over the course of the game, or does it have to be in a single airplane?

You can do it over the course of the game in multiple sessions! The only difficulty would be that you have to remember what bridges you already flew under.

I created a map based on all of those coordinates. It should be roughly accurate placement. Hope this is helpful.

Go for it. I just added several more that I used to get the achievement.

Easy achievement, just air drop in the mini plane and go at it. There are easily 100 bridges in the game, so 30 is no problem at all.

You were at 104 likes for this guide, gave you one myself. Give you 105 likes for this guide. Got 30 bridges as of 7am today, didn’t even have to use the whole entire list!

Glad I could help. The coordinates are by no means exhaustive. There are many more bridges that do count and the coordinates should give you an idea about what bridges do count and which ones don't. Sometimes however it is just about finding the right pillars to fly through as some areas of a bridge don't count!

Just an addition to the other guides here: if you find it hard or too timeconsuming to fly under 30 bridges, here's a tip:
Whenever you see a bridge (this can be a very low one, like an overpass on the road), order the small plane from the black market and just drive under the bridge. No need in flying and this works for every bridges (the ones over water always have a little land on the two sides).

This way, whenever you encounter a bridge, you can easily add it towards the limbo count of 30.

This works very well when money isn't an issue (when you've completed most of the game) and you just want to add the last couple of bridges to the 30 needed.

After hitting 75 completion %, I had 10 bridges or so left. Just hopped on the 2 lane highway and drove my plane under the remaining. Lots of overpasses etc

I found some low bridges on water where this is clearly impossible.

The Bridge Limbo Achievement is best started following the many rivers in Panau not only are the bridges over the rivers high (if they span the canyon ) but flying in the river valley will get you used to flying the air craft I do not suggest large wing spanned aircraft as many of the bridges support columns are to close together to allow a large plane under them I suggest the Air hawk 225, Pell Silver bolt (sold at the black-market) or the SI-47 Leopard. The 474, I-86DP, Cassius 192 and G9 Eclipse all are either to big (wingspan) or to fast to make the limbos.

While you are trying for this Achievement since you will be flying all around Panau anyway fly over the tree tops of the gold dots on you map to help you discover all the locations this will help you in the Globetrotter Achievement and allow for faster travel using the Black market Extractions option. Also remember if you crash after going under the bridge and it counts it in the counter you will not have to go under it again just keep any eye out for cars, boats, street lamps or wires when going under overpass bridges or over low bridges over the water.

The peek airhawk 225 is a very good plane to use for this achievement. It is slow and very manuverable. Just play and complete a plane challenge (the harbormaster is an easy one. X: 1595 Y:13677). once you have the plane just use your map to find bridges to fly under.

There are over 30 bridges located all over Panau, all are unique and therefore count towards this trophy. Any plane can be used to attempt this trophy. If you are near a bridge without a plane then you can always by the one off of the black market.

Look for a notification when you pass under a bridge, it will say ‘Bridge Limbo’. This will let you know that you haven’t passed under that bridge before, if you don’t see the notification it means you have already flown under it.

There are significantly more than 30 bridges in the game. The most convenient aircraft for the trophy is from the Black Market (jet). All bridges, not only those over rivers, count towards the test.

Important!!!
You have to fly under thirty different bridges, but you can’t fly under one bridge 30 times.

You can only fly by plane. It is better to take a military fighter or plane from the black market (Preferably pumped to the maximum). Got the trophy in 10 minutes with the help of this Video!
