I am mostly posting this for clarity, as the initial achievement description may be slightly misleading.
As you view the description as it first appears on your achievement list (as well as on this site), it states "Get 5 stars on 10 songs in a row from the "Songs" menu".
This makes it sound as if you can replay the same song 10 times (or 6 times for the Highway to Stars - Silver). I can confirm that this does not work.
Furthermore, when you do unlock the achievement, the description changes to "Got 5 stars on 10 different songs in a row".
As for the achievement itself, it is not that bad. You are allowed to change the difficulty to Easy. This will help you greatly.
The most important thing to watch for during any song are the golden pictographs. These are usually a pose or move that will give you a serious score boost (you will know if you pass one because your score display will say "Yeah!" instead of the usual 'Ok, Good, Perfect, etc.' and the dancer will flash gold.
To make it a little easier on yourself, try playing through all the songs to get an idea of which ones are easy, and which are hard for 5 stars. Then, start playing the 10 easiest, starting with the one you think is the most trouble and save the songs you KNOW you can 5 star for the last few.

I got this achievement while doing the "marathon" achievement (play 1 hour in non-stop shuffle mode).
I did it with a friend and we noticed that when the main player does not achieve a 5 stars rating, but his friend does, it counts toward the 10 '5 stars' songs in a row.
So when the achievement description says "from the 'songs' menu", it is not true because you can use the 'playlists' menu.
