How to unlock the Singer - Bronze achievement in Just Dance 3 - Definitive Guide

Firstly, not all songs are eligible for a "Shout Out".
You will know when a Shout Out opportunity is about to commence when you see a blue megaphone icon appear just above the lyrics in the bottom lefthand corner of the screen.
When you see this icon, it means that the next line will be an opportunity for you to shout out along with the lyrics.
A good song for your first Shout Out achievement is "Barbara Streisand", as the words "Barbara Streisand" are the only words in the song.
You will know if you missed the shout out, as an 'X' will appear over the Megaphone icon when you miss. Otherwise, you pass.
You don't have to be exact on your lyrics to pass, just be timely. I actually unlocked this achievement on accident, as I was yelling at the game during one of the Shout Out icons.

Here is an additional tip posted by stefb42: you might like to add that you need to ensure your kinect mic is NOT muted,and if ppl are still having trouble passing them turn the volume on your tv down as the music was drowning out our shouts

This is buggy! I definitely got a perfect on several songs and this achievement did not pop

If you don't have the patience to go through 10 or 20 songs for the Silver and Gold achievements, a good song to get this achievement in is "Giddy On Up (Giddy On Out)”. The shout-out moment is right at the beginning of the song. If you miss it restart and try again.
Just yell loud and start yelling a little before the words show up so the Kinect clearly picks up your voice.

The Xbox 360 version of Just Dance 3 has added a new feature called "Shout Out". You can find it in the bottom of the left corner, on top of the lyrics of the song. Just wait for the "Shout Out" icon to appear and sing along to earn more extra points. Watch the video for detailed info
