How to unlock the Sweat Me a River - Gold achievement in Just Dance 3 - Definitive Guide
You earn Sweat Points by just moving. Since it's impossible to fail a song, you don't even need to follow the coach's routine; just move your body either casually, wildly, or whatever.
The quickest way that I've found to earn a lot of Sweat Points is to have some objects in front of the sensor and hold a certain pose. While I was playing Da Funk (APPRECIATE IT!), I was just lying in bed with my laptop and by the end of the song I racked up well over 500 Sweat Points. That's more than actually dancing.
Nonetheless, chances are that you won't get the gold one naturally because you have to get 20,000 Sweat Points in one session so if you're planning to start this one, you'll need a lot of time to spare and a lot of will to keep going.
Note: Sweat Mode is deactivated by default so make sure you turn it on before you start.
if you're having trouble getting props to register, pick the smallest one up so it's the same colour as you, then place it down as you hide behind a bigger prop, then stand over or in front of any bigger ones that aren't registered and again slip behind them, they'll all be different colours in no time,it's easiest done in the screen where you select difficulty for some reason
First activate sweat points in the menus, and choose long songs in the options. All 4 of you should choose normal difficulty, and then flail your arms and dance around, (don't copy the actual dance routine on screen, just mess about, have fun, and try to outdo each other in sweat points...each of you should get 400-700 sweat points per song. (Over 2000 sweat points per song). Me and 3 friends did this and it only took 9-10 songs to get this achievement, taking a quarter of the time than doing it yourself. Trust me, this way it is a lot more fun than trying for this chieve on your own ;)
I had planned to combine this Achievement with...
Saturday Night Fever (Dance for 3 Hours on a Saturday night)
and
I could do this all night!
I switched my Songs to 'Short Mode', activated 'Sweat Mode' and started dancing away with a few buddies on Skype; After about two hours of twisting around I realized that I was never going to hit 20.000 sweat points via traditional means within the 3 hours playing solo.
Picked up a towel and was starting to wave it around like crazy; increased points to 400 sweat points per song (short mode) and I had it around the 3 hours 30 minutes mark.
TL;DR: Bring in two chairs as per 'TheNegativeIon's solution or go crazy with a towel (waving it around). Easiest (but not always an Option): bribe a friend to help you out. Whatever you do, don't underestimate the time it will take to rack up 20k sweat points like I did.
This trophy requires playing a profile under Just Sweat mode. Before playing, set up a 7-Day Workout session. This will allow you to track the number of Sweat Points earned overall. It does not matter which of the three options you pick, but the game will not keep track of total sweat points unless this is set up.
Both the Non-Stop Shuffle and Speed Shuffle modes will count for this trophy. Get the Light Speed and Marathon – Gold trophies, and then play some more songs. The Sweat Points can be found by going to Just Sweat and then 7-Day Challenge, and then pick the correct profile. The total will be shown on the top right corner of the screen. The Sweat Graph will also show up after playing songs in Just Sweat Mode.
Once your total reaches 30,000 Sweat Points, the trophy will unlock.
