How to unlock the Self Destructive achievement in Just Die Already - Definitive Guide
The self harm goals are the yellow bucket list items.
There wasn’t a whole lot of information out there on how to complete some of the bucket list tasks, so I thought I would make a list and provide a few tips where I can. I completed the game over a free to play weekend, so I don’t have it anymore. Everything is from memory so I’m sure I will be missing a few things, but hopefully this will help.
A few things to take note of…
-Some of the challenges require a bit of leg work. I will provide a text guide but there are video guides out there for some of the more complex tasks that I’d recommend.
-While everything can be done solo, some tasks are easier with a partner, especially the ones involving the removal of specific limbs. A partner can just shoot them off rather than relying on RNG.
-Some items I will mention were awarded for completing certain bucket list tasks. If you don’t have the item available, check to see if it can be purchased from the blue vending machine, or complete other objectives and try again later.
-The propeller is the easiest way to navigate to higher locations, but in order to get the propeller you have to go to the top of the skyscraper downtown. To get up there you’ll have to use the jetpack (unlocked by going to space) or a fire extinguisher (found around the map, the easiest one is in the bbq shop next to the retirement home).
There are 8 self harm bucket list goals.
Chubby Boi- Eat/ drink 50 things. There’s food/drink all over the map, especially in the convenience stores.
Fall Master- Fall 70 Meters. This will probably happen naturally, but if not just jump off a skyscraper.
Trash Respawner- Die 250 times. A good place to farm this is at the back of the construction site. Jump on the conveyor leading to the grinder, lose all limbs, die, respawn and repeat.
Limb Loss- Lose 1000 limbs. A good place to farm this is at the back of the construction site. Jump on the conveyor leading to the grinder, lose all limbs, die, respawn and repeat.
Electric Feels- Get electrocuted 30 times. Use power lines, outlets, electric fences- they’re all over.
Oh Lawd He Coming- Eat so much you explode. This just popped naturally for me, not sure how. I think it was when I ate someone else's medicine in the retirement home.
Frozen Popsicle- Eat popsicles until you freeze. Two of the convenience stores have a freezer with popsicles, the one in the back parking lot by the highway and the one up the hill behind the retirement home before you get to the docks. Just eat them until you freeze.
Leap of Faith- Jump through the tallest building in the city center and through the grate. In the area of city center where there is air flowing from the vents in the ground, there is also a large metal grate. Look up and at the top of the skyscraper you can see a plank hanging over the edge. This is where you must jump from and is also where you get the propeller. This should also get you the splat challenge and the one for falling 70 meters if you don’t already have those.
