Easiest done playing with a group of friends as most people online now will turn traitor, that being said there are still some nice players out there!
I found this easiest on the bank level, most the money is located all together in the safe room and out the way of any trouble, but don't forget about the money upstairs in the main lobby area.

I'd just like to add that for this achievement at least one other person besides yourself needs to escape. I collected all of the money on one map and was the only one to escape and the achievement didn't unlock. On the next attempt, I collected all the money myself and escaped with all my teammates and popped the achievement.

I got this being the only merc that escaped on Hot Coffee while boosting. There's exactly $1,930,000 on that map and the achievement popped at the scoreboard between rounds.
