This can be obtained through any Game Mode.
To get this achievement, you have to activate star boost 100 times. Star Boost is when your multiplier suddenly becomes a yellow star and the multiplier bar increases dramatically. In a song, Star Boost activates automatically as soon the star meter is full. You can activate Star Boost multiple times in a song. You can check your status on Star Boosts by going into Options from the main menu, choose Extras, and then Statistics.
