Any group of wandering enemies with space to move around will work. I did this on the cursed chest in Heart of the village, with the first three spawning enemies.
Another good spot would be soon after getting the Dash ability, where you direct your rot to place three pots on the correct pedestals. Placing a pot on the wrong pedestal will release three small goons to play with.
