There are a total of 12 Meditation spots that you need to interact with in the game. Along with the Rot, you really want to make sure you get most if not all of these as you progress through the game since they increase your health bar which you can certainly use later in the game. There is freeplay after you complete the game, so if you don't get all 12 by the time you finish the game, you can clean them up afterwards. The video guide (en) will show you how to collect all the meditation points as you progress.
Numbers 4.8 will appear after killing the boss in the region.
You will receive numbers 9,10,11 after killing mini bosses on the way to collect artifacts to free Tosi
Number 12 after the final boss, this meditation circle triggers the end of the game.
