Everyone should aim for 5-Dan as it's very easy and will only take about 30mins. You'll also get 1,2,3 and 4-Dan on the way for a total of 75G.
Winning increases your rank and then if you lose you go down a rank and face easier enemies. So all you need is a character that can fight and beat a bottom ranked player. Keep going, winning and losing and gaining those bottom rank wins.
When you have ten wins you'll need to rank higher than 3840th (theres 6400 players on the boards, 60% is 3840). 2 straight wins should easily place you at around 3200th.
... OR you could complete the game with a character on Hard making sure you get lots of good AI traits and just be really good and trounce everyone :oP
