How to unlock the Act IV again achievement in Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition - Definitive Guide


Here is my full walkthrough of Act 4.

For these achievements, my understanding from someone else was that the first time around, you always elect to go ashore. Then, when redoing Act 4 for this achievement, always elect to stay on the boat.

It didn't work for me either on my second playthrough of the chapter. I'm going to retry it a 3rd time as the "1st" way of always leaving the boat and make sure that I didn't accidentally stay on once or twice.

it doesn't unlock after 3 playthrough. i tried playin on main save slot and secondary slot. anyone?

I've unlocked it fine today, I selected the Act from the circle and chose restart, played through staying on the boat as much as possible and it popped. I have seen all options over the two playthroughs, maybe it is linked to that too?

This achievement didn't unlock for me either. I waited until Tuesday to do that achievement, and then finished the Act but did not get the 2nd time achievement :(

I just unlocked this one, I went ashore every time on my first playthrough and stayed on the boat whenever given a choice after restarting the chapter. Like ImmenseCookie says, the achievement might be tied to seeing each version of each scene, so if you mixed and matched and didn't get the achievement for the second playthrough you could try and determine if there was a version of each scene you missed.

After your first playthrough of Act IV, or after you complete the game all the way through, you can at any point select Act IV on The Circle (the level select screen) to replay the episode. Simply play through the entire act a second time to receive this trophy.

Act IV is the easiest level to breeze through so you won't have to spend too much time in your second run. Hold circle.png to move the text faster and select the first option each time with cross.png to make it through the dialogs as quick as possible. In Act IV you also have the option to stay on the boat for many of the stops, so if you don't need to clean up the two or three trophies in this Act, stay on the boat when you can and you should make it out Act IV quickly without any fuss.

Adversely, Act IV also has the most content you won't see on your first playthrough, so if instead you want to enjoy all this game has to offer, choose whatever option you did not choose on your first playthrough and visit any stops you haven't seen yet for maximum enjoyment of the game.

As the description says, replay and complete Act 4. This can be done through chapter replay.

For the first time playing Act 4, you should get off the boat when possible, and during your second time through, choose to remain on the boat. While on the boat, at each place look out for a record symbol, as these change the show at the dock where Ezra stays on the boat to help with the music. This change to the dock show is why the replay is needed.
