'Death of the Hired Man' is the 5th interlude, available after Act 5. You'll need to unlock the Finding Carrington achievement first:
The Finding Carrington achievement in Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition worth 52 pointsReturn to Equus Oils and find Carrington there.
If you didn't unlock it during your first playthrough you can just replay Act 1 and get it in about five minutes.

Would like to add that players like me who are cleaning up the remaining achievements and need this one as well as these two:
The The map achievement in Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition worth 271 pointsWalk the Seer's earthwork path in the town.
The Act IV again achievement in Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition worth 277 pointsComplete Act IV a second time.
to go ahead and play 'Death of the Hired Man' 1st cause if the go for 'Act IV Again' and 'The Map' achievement (which is done in Act 5) before this one, then they would need to;
Go find Carrington again in Act 1, load up Act 5 and play it again all the way through to the end, THEN and only then will you be able to play 'Death of the Hired Man'. It isn't too big of a deal if you don't do this, you're only spending 20 or so minutes finding Carrington again and completing Act 5 but if that's too much time then i'd suggest playing 'Death of a Hired Man' before going for those other 2 achievements. Also ignore this if you're grabbing every achievement as you progress through the story as then this should be the last achievement you get (I think?)

Story Related, Cannot be missed
Death of the Hired Man is the final interlude of the game. It will appear in "The Circle" (the level select screen) after you finish Act V the first time - as long as you have fulfilled the requirments of Finding Carrington
in Act I. You simply need to let the conversation play out while the television is onscreen. You only have access to control the knob of the TV to change the channel, no other inputs are needed to view the conversation happening offscreen. If you prefer to turn to a channel that will play throughout the entire conversation, I would suggest turning to the Seinfeld style sitcom or the gameshow. Both seem to last the length of the scene, all the others will turn to static before the scene is done. The scene runs about 18 minutes long and will be the last piece of the story you will need to complete.
If, for any reason, you missed meeting Carrington at Equus Oils in Act I resolving this issue is very easy: Start up Act I, play through the first scene and when you leave Equus Oils and head back to the gas station from any other location (or simply turn around and head right back there) you will meet a Stranger talking to Joseph. Talking with him will introduce Carrington and elict a conversation about finding a performance space. This will unlock "Death of the Hired Man" Leave the gas station, head to any destination (Marquez Farmhouse is your intended story destination) and once you have arrived, quit out to "The Circle" level select screen. You should now be able to access this interlude and complete the final story trophy.

This requires Finding Carrington (30G) to be unlocked.
At the end of Act 5 and you finish the game, you will be back at the main menu where you will be given the option to start this, given you unlocked the achievement mentioned. Start this and you just have to play through the dialogue while sat watching a T.V. At the end the achievement will unlock.
