Near the end of Act IV, you'll arrive at Sam & Ida's restaurant. When the option appears, have Shannon give Ezra a quarter to play the claw game.

To win, go for the headphones, angle the claw correctly by moving twice to the right and up once (double-check with Johnny), and most importantly... play on a Tuesday.

Yup, literally a Tuesday. You can wait until the nearest Tuesday to unlock this online and with no fuss. Problem solved and no need to read any further.

However, if you're impatient like me, there is a way to unlock this any day of the week.

Go offline (Settings/General/Network) and restart your Xbox. Doing this enables you to manually change the date to a Tuesday of your choosing (Settings/System/Time). While offline, launch KRZ* and win the claw game. Go back online afterwards and wait for the achievement to resync and unlock.

For most players, the achievement should retroactively unlock in the background after 10-15 minutes. However, in some cases, this process can take up to 24 hours. If you're one of those affected, click on the spoiler tag below for a trick that may speed up the process:

*The console that you are playing from needs to be your designated "Home Xbox," otherwise you won't be able to launch the game offline.

Interesting. Hmmm, we can try to troubleshoot. Is the Xbox that you're playing from designated as your "Home Xbox"? If not, that can be preventing you from playing digital titles while offline. I'll try to research other causes and solutions in the meantime.

Hey Dresden, I followed your guide to go offline and change the date to Tuesday but when I restarted the Xbox it wouldn’t allow me to open the game, it said I had to be online. Is there anyway to bypass that?

It is worth noting that if you are playing KRZ through Xbox Game Pass you cannot do the offline trick! I can see this catching some players out when the time comes for the game to cycle out of the service....

@Falcon, not just launched on Tuesday, but the criteria actively met on a Tuesday. I was playing all evening, started Act 4 maybe 11pm, did the claw game around 00:30 so it ticked over into Wednesday and didn't work

I did it this morning, Wednesday, by just changing my time zone to Alaska and still being connected online. It was still Tuesday in that time zone. I fell asleep last night when doing Act 4, right before the point where I could unlock it. This game is so weird...

I believe it is designated as my “Home Xbox”. I do Xbox share with my friend, I don’t know if that matterS. Also the game was bought digitally, no hard copy. Just trying to give as many details as possible.

@LaughinGuo I had the troubles two days ago. But today I was able to restart the Xbox, change the date and reinitiate the Game over GamePass.

Xbox Live has been having massive problems over the last two days with store purchases and online ownership. Once Microsoft fixes those, you should be good to go.

My advice for people on gamepass like myself, and not being at this point on a Tuesday, is to just continue the game then combine this achivement with the 'replay chapter iv' achivement on the next available Tuesday since you need to replay the chapter for that anyway.

Did this on PC without issues. Closed the game at the right point, changed the date and loaded up the game again and it popped in game when I got the headphones.

I happened to get to this chapter at 11:53 PM on a Monday. I waited until past midnight so it was Tuesday local time. Did the claw machine and didn't get the item. I force quit the game immediately and redid it, game said I got the item and achievement unlocked.

So the game must be launched when it's already Tuesday for this to count. Just a heads up for anyone playing late on a Monday.

You reach Sam & Ida's restaurant in Act 4, Scene 8 (Act IV, Scene VIII) to be specific.
Don't mean to step on any shoes as you mentioned which act in the story this achievement happens but since this is the top guide I thought it should be noted exactly when this achievement is obtainable

Act IV at Sam and Ida's (usually Scene VIII)

One of the more complicated trophies in the game. This event will only work if you play on a Tuesday, or change the date on your console to a date that is a Tuesday. If you pick the later choice, make sure to exit out of the game, change the date to a Tueday and start the game up again to continue with the scene to accomplish this requirement.

When Shannon arrives at Sam and Ida's, head up to the upper level and move to the right area where Johnny and Ezra are playing a claw game. Choose to give Ezra a quarter which will shift control to the boy. Johnny will then list the items Ezra can attempt to win. Choose the headphones.

Once the game starts choose the following directions:

RIGHT
RIGHT
UP
Drop the Claw

If you play this section of the game on a Tuesday, you will win the headphones and receive the trophy:

Act 4

This is not missable as such but this achievement requires the actual day (on your console) to be a Tuesday for it to unlock.

Near the end of Act 4 you will be in the restaurant. Get Shannon to give Ezra a quarter to play the claw game. Choose the dialogue 'right,' 'up,' 'right,' then 'drop' to win the headphones.

If it's not a Tuesday by the start of this Act, you an replay the Act when it is.
