This is a lot easier to do in your base rather than underground.
Once you beat the Insector Queen (Third boss) and can make the Fusion pool craft up some Poisonous Sac Trap and some Insector Nest.
When just create a wall in area, place the Insector Nests in the middle surrounded by the Poisonous Sac Traps and wait.
