How to unlock the Here Comes the Kerbalry achievement in Kerbal Space Program - Definitive Guide

I got this during an EVA on Kerbin.
Just let go of the command pod and then choose recover, the Kerbal will be recovered instead of the command pod.

If you're in career mode, you have to upgrade the astronaut complex before they can do EVAs.

I almost never touched the pre-built rockets. I did this using a custom build but I really don't think it matters for this cheev.

It didn't unlock in sandbox mode.

Maybe the patch fixed the terrestrial rescue. Did you rescue them from space?
