How to unlock the Battle-worn Sadira achievement in Killer Instinct - Definitive Guide

Battle-worn Sadira

I just thought I would give advice on how to get this and the tactic I used with Sadira to get this achievement.

With Sadira I kept using the same exact trick to beat people, Quarter Circle towards the person X, Y, X, Y. This is a very fast combo and can do some work, just make sure to use endings on your combo's with RB or LB, use your shadow moves in combos, and always use Instinct mode when you get it as it makes your character stronger and do more damage. If you can make sure to always Combo break if you can by using your right analog stick (Up heavy attacks, Left or right Medium attacks, down for light attacks)

All credit goes to The Dark Liege and oooo yeah.

Im currently boosting this now with Payload and we've found each other every time without fail. So i thought i would help and share this with the rest of you lovely TA people dance

Update

Once you have done the steps once, you can just search for each other again, by pressing Next Challenger at the same time. No need for the party steps over and over.

Update 2 (16/3/2014)

after getting to the next challenger screen, click the invite player to game option. You can be in parties and start a ranked match now just can't be in same game.

Boosting method:

1. Play a ranked match.
2. When you get to the "Next Challenger" screen WAIT THERE.
3. Get into party chat with your friend.
4. One person "Turns Off" party chat.
5. Both hit "Next Challenger" at the same approximate time.
6. Turn party chat back on and just wait to be matched.
7. When match finishes continue steps 2/4/5/6 over and over as long as you please.

A few notes from oooo Yeah -

When It says "Turn Off" party chat It doesn't mean leave the party. I'm actually referring to the new XB1 party system where you can turn it off but remain in the party. (Your gamertag goes from green to white in the party screen).

One person should have party chat snapped throughout the entire process. A quick way to switch between the snapped party and the main screen is to double tap the guide button.

How I did steps 4/5/6 was start a countdown (so my friend and I could coordinate our searches) 5...4...3...2 and on 2 I would turn off party chat - double tap guide - hit next challenger -double tap guide - turn party chat back on

The above can also be used of course to get to lv 5 so as to unlock the extra skins. (Skins stay unlocked even after dropping below lv 5 in case you were wondering).

You don't actually have to search at the EXACT same time for it to work. We sometimes stuffed up by not being ready or whatever and our searches were 5 or more seconds apart and it still worked.

I think it's an exploit of the party system where it will try to match you with your party first and foremost before anyone else. The fact you can click on "Next Challenger" while still technically in a party is the reason this works. You can't be in a party at all when clicking on "Ranked Match"

Like i said all credit goes to The Dark Liehe and oooo Yeah for finding this out.

Cheers.

I've come up with a new solution to the ranked achievements and am including it along with the older one I had, although I should warn everyone to use the new solution at your own risk. I should note that I've checked with the admins as to the regularity of the method (Solution Parameters).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* First Solution *

Very simple:

1. Start a ranked match while connected to the wi-fi, using the character you want the achievement for;
2. After the match starts, simply connect the ethernet cable at the back of your console (just to be sure keep pressing buttons on your controller while doing this);
3. The game will freeze for a few seconds and is tricked into thinking your opponent has disconnected, you both get a win, simple as that;
4. Disconnect the Cable and repeat for the next win.

A few notes:

1. After a few wins like this, the game will prompt a message saying that will you no longer increase you rank due to "disconnection wins";
2. This doesn't affect the achievements, as the wins still count towards them;
3. I've never had any problems while doing this, since both players are credited a win, so there's no fault to the other player;
4. I always tried to actually win the match legit before connecting the cable;
5. prepare to receive a lot of messages from people calling you a quitter;
6. Yes, this is cheating when it comes to leaderboards, but as long you’re doing this just to unlock achievements and not to claim you’re the best KI player around, I see no harm.

Doing all character will take about 480 wins.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* Second Solution *

This solution is a little long but once everything is set up it's touch and go.

First of all you will need the following:

1. PC with windows 10 that can run KI at least in the lower settings;
2. KI downloaded and installed on your PC;
2. A dummy account; and
3. Not exactly necessary but 2 controllers would help.

Ok, first log in ONLY your dummy account on your xbox one (it will have gold privileges because of the main account).
Log in with your main account on your PC.
Start KI on the console and on the PC.
Go to ranked matches and start searching with the dummy account and after 5 seconds with the main account (don't ask me why, but this seems to make a difference).

Using this method, I was getting matched up with myself most of the time, especially during times when there are fewer players, like 2am, I got as much as 10 fights in a roll.

Whenever you get a random, hopefully it will be with the dummy account.

/ - Recluse. Backflip kick.
/ - Blade Demon. Rotates with blades spread to the sides, advancing towards the opponent.
/ - Widow's Bite. Jumping dagger throw.
/ - Web Cling. He flies up onto the wall behind him and jumps off from there at an angle.
- Widow's Drop. A twisting downward kick that turns into an overhead attack.
- Salticidae. A headbutt that, if hit or blocked, can knock Sadira away.
