Load up Killer Instinct and start a "Local Play" game
In "Local Play" go to "Versus" and select "Player vs. CPU"
Select Difficulty as "Noob"
Select Thunder as your character
Start the match and win, the achievement will unlock.

Go to Single player, and pick a "player vs CPU" game. Press 
at the character selection screen to change the difficulty to beginner. Pick Thunder as your character and anyone as the enemy. Defeat the enemy.
