The following tips are geared towards the Beginner AI.
Aganos
Aganos is big. He has a bigger hitbox and it is harder to jump over him.
He has a special mechanic (seen above his Shadow Meter) which show how many chunks he has. He can use these chunks as an attack, a defense (allows him to absorb an enemies' attack) or create a new stage boundary by building a wall. However, the more chunks he has, the more sluggish he feels.
Combo Breakers
If the AI has captured you in a combo, try doing a High combo breaker ( or + ). The AI will usually go for High attacks.
Combos
Aerial attacks hit a good percentage of times, so try using these to start your combos. Try keeping your combos up until your bar, which represents your Knockdown Value Meter, is almost full and then make sure to end your combos (a list of Combo Enders is available in game under Command List). Use your Shadow Moves as well since they don't have Knockdown Value.
Throws
While throws don't do much damage, they are unblockable, so if an AI is blocking to much, get through it. It is also useful to guarantee a hit when they have low health.
Instinct
Peace Time: Aganos is given a regenerating Peacekeeper club (uprooted wall) for a short time.
Upon activating Instinct, your KV Meter will empty, so use this to extend your combos.
This give Aganos a Peacemaker Club, so swing to your heart's content.
