How to unlock the 14k Gold achievement in Kinect Adventures - Definitive Guide

In order to unlock this achievement, you must clear all of the Basic levels in Free Play with a gold or platinum medal. The basic levels are on the first page of Free Play on each of the activities.

You can track the progress of unlocking this achievement by looking underneath the icon for the level in the level selection screen at the high score. (If you haven't completed the level, there will obviously be nothing there.)

Completing the level in Adventures mode does not count, no matter how good the medal you earned was. You must go back to the Free Play mode from the main menu in order to make progress on this achievement.

As long as you are signed in, it doesn't matter who actually gets the medal -- as long as you "see them" (by being signed in while they are playing), it counts towards unlocking this achievement.

Unlocking this achievement will also unlock Basic Training:

Seems like this is glitched as I have redone all my basic levels with gold or platinum (just to make sure any platinum was not silver) and it wont unlock. I did get the one for silver medals though.

Is glitched for me as well. I have gold or platinum for all free play levels and this has not unlocked. I assume you don't have to actually get a silver medal, i.e. getting gold or platinum is sufficient?

"The basic levels are on the first page of Free Play on each of the activities."
that's the exact piece of information I was hoping to find out. Thanks! Thumbs Up.

This achievement is specifically for the gold medals. Basic Training will pop for getting silver medals for all Basic free play levels. Do you have that achievement? Also, if you really have gold medals on ALL free play levels, then you should have the achievements for the intermediate and advanced free play levels as well. Did you get those, or are they glitches as well?

I got a few platinum first time around and the rest of them are gold. It still hasn't popped, do I have to get gold on all the levels which I got platinum for? Hopefully I won't have the same problem for the other difficulties.

Since earning gold medals on all the levels will also pop the achievement for silver medals (Basic Training), it would follow that the achievement should pop for platinum medals as well. That's what I'd think, at least.

Thanks for the response, I really hope I can somehow bypass this glitch. Any suggestions? I'm going to do the intermediate levels once I get back home tonight, hopefully the other achievement will pop along with this one.

Both of them popped for me, it is not glitched. It's just me being stupid and not realising one medal was a silver and not platinum. I looked at my screen and the silver looked a lot duller than the platinum next to it lol. My bad.
