How to unlock the Solid Gold achievement in Kinect Adventures - Definitive Guide
WARNING: Very tiring and tedious.
With this, I'm hoping to help you with all the achievements dealing with getting medals in Free Play Levels. Excluding Platinum Medals.
Method: I recommend doing all the activities in row (20,000 Leaks, River Rush, Rallyball, etc).
When doing these do your very best to get a Gold or Platinum Medal, if you end up with something lower then redo the level until you get Gold or Platinum.
Getting a Gold Medal in each Activity (20,000 Leaks, River Rush, etc). NOT all the levels in the activities, will you get you 2 Achievements: Variety Pack and Shining Example.
Once you complete all the levels with Gold or Platinum you get 7 Achievements: Basic Training, 14k Gold, Silver Spoon, 18k Gold, Shining Advancement, Solid Gold, and Explorer (For playing all levels). IF you did them all with a Platinum Medal you will also get the Secret Achievement: Platinom Nom Nom.
Additional: If you did them all in co-op you will get the That's What I Call Teamwork! Achievement.
Help:
20,000 Leaks
Ok I managed to get all Platinum Medals on my first go on every level here, so it shouldn't be too hard for you. Just remember you can use all parts of your body to plug the holes (Hand, Arm, Leg, Foot, Head, Chest).
Doing this in co-op is still easy, but just makes it a little harder.
River Rush
Ah, River Rush was the 2nd hardest to do in my opinion. I suggest not playing this one in co-op as you'll find yourself both going different directions and end up getting no where and getting no points. Just try to hit all jumps and remember to go between the poles for extra points!
Rallyball
This was hard, but not the hardest. Doing this in co-op will help you bunches because you can block alot more balls, sending them back to destroy even more of your targets. If your doing this in Singleplayer though, try to hit the boards that give you extra balls and keep as many of them in play as you can, this helps alot!
Reflex Ridge
This was by far the hardest for me, even to get Gold. And the most exhausting! Doing this in co-op doesn't really matter because it uses the best score out of the both of you, and doesn't combine them. Some tips for getting more bonus time! Try to jump when going up or down, or just when turning. If there is a Left Wall, then a Jump or Duck, then a Right Wall try jumping diagonally over the jump or crouch and move left/right if it's a Duck. I know that sounded a little confusing, so I'll try to make it little better. By "Duck" I mean when you need to crouch down, not like "Omg there's a Duck!". If you have played one of these in the game then you should know what I mean about the walls then.
Space Pop
First of all, this will be tons easier if you do this in co-op so you only have to worry about half the screen, not the whole thing. This goes for Singleplayer and co-op, When you see one of the holes light up, stand on it or fly up to it so the bubbles go right into you. Other times you may have to stand in a certain part of the screen for the bubbles for run into you. The key is to let most of the bubbles come to you, not you going to them, although there are some times where you have to get them yourself. Also remember to move forward and backward because bubbles are on both sides, and put your arms to your side to float down faster!
Wrapping Up:
I hope I helped at least a little for some struggling to get this achievement, I know it can be tiring so take brakes! Unlike myself that beat most of the game in one night and now my whole body is sore and legs feel like noodles. >.<
Following the Activities in order as said above, will get you 9 Achievements for 320G, with a possible 11 Achievements for 390G.

Unlike "Shining Example", you will need to get Gold in all 42 levels spanning the five activities if you want all these medal achievements. Each activity has 3 of each Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Levels, except River Rush which has two of each.
