How to unlock the Eye Spy achievement in Kinect Disneyland Adventures - Definitive Guide

You have to do enough quests to reach level 7 on your character. Then head to Adventureland and speak with Aladdin, he will give you the Spyglass.

Equip it from the item wheel with RB.

Now as you travel round each area you will find translucent chests that are Gold and Blue.
You must find all of the chests in a given location to unlock a percentage towards 100% (or 50% in the case of this achievement).
So for instance New Orleans you need 9/9 and it will move your counter up a bit.

Just do whole areas til you get them all, then move on to the next area, once you finish half the areas you will unlock it.

(Look at the edges and in corners and such. They are relatively well hidden, down alleyways and dead ends, that kind of thing).

Spyglass

First off you need to go to Adventureland and talk to Aladdin and he will give you the Spyglasses.

Once he gives you the Spyglasses you can begin to complete this achievement, simply "find" all the Spyglass secrets, these are treasure chests that you may have already seen, although without the spyglasses equipped they are "ghost" chests that you cannot interact with.

Now that thats covered for this achievement you just have to go all thoughtout the park until you've found 50% of the items.
(there is a place to check this I think in your game menu but I will have to confirm exactly where)

Here is a list of all the items I know about so far though my own playthough and with the help of this guide
http://m.gamefaqs.com/xbox360/632874-kinect-disneyland-adven...

Personal note: the achievement poped up for me when I was working on the Adventureland secrets after I had gotten 100% of them in Fantasyland, Toontown and Main Street U.S.A.
This is a bit curious as by my count there are 54 Items but I only had 22 when the achievement poped. The only thing I can think of is I completed 100% of them in 4 of the 8 areas... anyone else notice/counted how many they had when it poped up? or have an explanation I haven't thought about just let me know

EDIT: The more I thought about this when I was doing Aladdin's adventures he has you look for scarabs with the spyglass and I don;t have them on this list but I'm sure thats where the math of my achievement got off

Glad it helped, I was really surprised when there wasn't already guides for this game out here so I figured I have to do the footwork anyway why not end that problem for everyone else. although its always bitter sweet when it contributes to the ratio plummeting ;) (currently 6.96 at time of this comment) glad it helped you out though!

Sorry the fast pass area(s) are the places around the attraction with the line barricades, also i apologize because I know the actual park pretty well and so that's probably more of a "real life" area description than an in game one. If i have time and can capture some pictures I will get them up here

in the toontown area just follow the tracks in the road. they should go around a fountain and one set branches off and heads under some closed doors. this is the building its next to. I will have to go back into the game to confirm the color.

I don't know what you mean by "nearest charater around the ghost chests. the tem was meant to describe how the treasure chests are transparent and appear "ghost like" sorry if that confused you

You will receive the spyglass from Aladdin after completing a few tasks for both him and Genie, they are both found in Adventureland, and reaching Level 7, so help everyone you meet and take pictures wherever you can and you should level up pretty quickly.

You can now select it using the magic object wheel (where you select the camera, wand, astro blaster, etc...)

The Spyglass secrets are transparent gold and blue chests found throughout the park. These are usually tucked into corners and in between tables, walls and many out of the way places. Just keep your eyes peeled for a gold sparkle and a see through gold chest. It will take some time, but if you are thorough and plan on finishing this game you should get this achievement before too long.

Good Luck!

Just a note for all of these "50% of the secrets" achievements: You have to get 50% of the secrets and not just the 50% of all of the "items" to be squirted, blasted, etc. Meaning that in order to get 1 secret, you will have to get all of the items in that group (e.g., squirt 50 Jalapeno Flowers in Tomorrowland). What this means, is that you can be much more efficient at all of these if you target the smaller groups of items.

For this particular achievement, you will need to see all of the Spyglass items in half of the specific locations (e.g., Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, etc.).

The only reason that I figured this out is because I noticed that my first two of these achievements only popped when I completed an entire group of items to get a secret.

Other than that, just use NickHawkeye's solution to see how many groups of items there are.

In each land there are a certain amount of treasure chests that can only be seen with the spyglass. Hold your arm out while holding the spyglass to open the chest. Finding all the chests in one land counts as one secret. So I recommend going to the smaller lands so you can get all the chests without wasting to much time. Find all the chests in about four or five lands and the achievement will unlock.
