How to unlock the Not Today, Zurg! achievement in Kinect Disneyland Adventures - Definitive Guide

The blaster is used to shoot most of the light fixtures. Either street lights, pathway lights, side of buildings lights, and some flames/torches. You will not see a red lazer target, you just aim at the lights and a white dot will show up in your target.
Does not work with small world colorful stage lights on pathway and some other lights.

In frontier I blastered a box of fireworks so maybe it's for more than just lights. I only shot lights and it popped for me.

-Update 2023-

u/uberJames recommends that you thoroughly work area by area getting all collectables instead of trying to just do 1 collection at a time, this is logical and likely the fastest way to get all collectable related achievements.

u/GamePadZebby says; 50% means 100% of half of the secrets, not 50% of the total number of interactions in the park as a whole. I.e. you must complete a set (such as monorail lights in Tomorrow land) for it to count towards the percentage completed but missing one in every set is equivalent to having 0% completed. They agree with uberJames that being thorough in each area will greatly benefit you.

Thanks for these helpful contributions!

Just a note that, as with other items interactions in the park, the 50% means 100% of half of the secrets, not 50% of the total number of interactions in the park as a whole. I.e. you must complete a set (such as monorail lights in Tomorrow land) for it to count towards the percentage completed

To add onto the other comment, I'd recommend being extremely thorough with this one. Meaning don't start blasting willy nilly, because if you don't finish off all objects within a single collection all at once, you're going to have a hard time coming back later and finding the 1 object out of 20 that you missed.

@uberJames Yes, definitely!! As only 50% is required you will have some leeway, but missing one in every set is equivalent to having 0% completed so absolutely agree

Oh, I did not know this. That could be why it felt like it took forever for me. Thanks, I will update solution.

I got it after 30 collections

4 in Tomorrowland (not complete) Critter County and Adventureland
9 in Main Street and New Orleans

There are 3 very easy ones (among the ones I did). Esmerelda in Main Street (Penny Acade), The Innoventions Globe in Tomorrowland (beside the aliens) are both a collection of one. And Critter has some machines beside Eeyore and a barrel on the bridge that is only a collection of two.

Cosmic Blaster

First off you need to go to Tomorrowland and talk to Buzz lightyear and he will give you the Blaster.

Once he gives you the Blaster you can begin to complete this achievement, simply "find and shoot" all the Cosmic Blaster secrets, these are tourches, lights and stuff you can make light up like the 4th of July. (approved targets only)

If you currently have the Blaster equipped (keep in mind you cannot move forward with a hand that is holding an item so choose whitch hand you want to run with and put your item in the other hand) You can equip this by saying the commands "Xbox" --> "Magic Items" --> "Name of Item" this will put it in your default hand or the hand that last held an item. If you want to switch hands simply hold the hand you want it in up in the air until the item selection circle appears and then move your hand and hold it on the item you want to select.

Now that thats covered for this achievement you just have to go all thoughtout the park until you've shot 50% of the items.
(there is a place to check this I think in your game menu but I will have to confirm exactly where)

Here is a list of all the items I know about so far though my own playthough and with the help of this guide
http://m.gamefaqs.com/xbox360/632874-kinect-disneyland-adven...

Personal note: the achievement poped up for me when I was working on the Adventureland secrets after I had gotten 100% of them in Fantasyland and Main Street U.S.A.

Last blaster in Tomorrowland is the Rocket at Redd Rockett's Pizza Port. It's the big red and white Rocket.

The circle lanterns are in Big Thunder Ranch in the middle of all the tables. They are all on one post in a big circle.

Anyone know where the other 2 pioneer mercantile marquee lights are in frontierland? I can only see 3 red lights under the sign then the 2 porch lights which is a separate secret.

I'm almost 100% certain that this is the very last secret (in the whole game!!!) I'm missing!

Just a note for all of these "50% of the secrets" achievements: You have to get 50% of the secrets and not just the 50% of all of the "items" to be squirted, blasted, etc. Meaning that in order to get 1 secret, you will have to get all of the items in that group (e.g., squirt 50 Jalapeno Flowers in Tomorrowland). What this means, is that you can be much more efficient at all of these if you target the smaller groups of items.

The only reason that I figured this out is because I noticed that my first two of these achievements only popped when I completed an entire group of items to get a secret.

Other than that, just use NickHawkeye's solution to see how many groups of items there are.

Actually it was helpful but obviously any OCD person like me is going to stay in one place until they find everything anyway.

Once you have your Blaster just go from land to land shooting out groups of street lights and you will get it eventually. Each time you shoot a light it will tell you which group it belongs to and each completed group will give you one secret. The lights in a group are usually right near each other so you shouldn't be searching around for too long. There are other secrets but the lights seem to be the easiest to find. After about four or five lands the achievement will unlock.
