How to unlock the Get Connected achievement in Kinect Joy Ride - Definitive Guide

You can do this on your own, alone, not even need someone locally.
First when youre on the main screen, start with the gamertag you want the achievement, the select join another player, and select a guest account, i mean "yourgamertag(1)".
Then start the race on xbox live and be sure you're playing with the account you want the achievement, should be the left half screen.
Then simply complete the race and leave the guest stopped, when the race is over you will get the achievement.
You must complete the race in the account you want the achievement, not the guest, so if youre contolling the guest, exit from the kinect area until reconize you.

I've tried this a lot of times, but I think your solution only works if both accounts are gold members. Can you confirm? Thanks in Advance.

You need to have gold in the main account, the other is just a copy of the main, in your case, ro455BR(1). So only one gold account is needed.

First off, thank you so much for this solution. I've been trying forever to find someone to play, but with no luck.

Secondly, I think I know what ro455BR's problem is. When you select "add me" and add a guest account, the game assumes the guest is now the one in control. This means that when you start a game, you're staring the game as the guest. To fix this, you need to re-select "add me," and select your active profile again. This will put you back in control.

I couldn't get this method to work with my Gold account + a silver account, nor with my Gold + random guest profile.

Anyone looking to boost this, let me know
