This is fairly straight forward, but to save time (a good 3 or 4 minutes of important playing time!) scan yourself as your opposite gender FIRST. That way you'll get the achievement on your second scan without having to then re-scan in order to get your champion back to normal.

I cant find option for rescan or scan since the very first time inserting game. am I being silly?

This "guide" is missing the most important part and really all you need to know. To do this after you already scanned yourself, goto "my champion". Then choose the fourth option from the left, "create champion" (by default its off the screen). You can then select your champion to rescan. That's the option I took. It also lets you scan a new champion but I assume doing that wont pop the achievement unless you scan it and then rescan it as the opposite sex.
