How to unlock the ZitzBlitz achievement in Kinect Sports Rivals - Definitive Guide

The Zitz Blitz Challenge pack consists of 3 Wake Racing events ranging from 1-3 Difficulty. You must beat the opponent as well as complete an extra goal to "prove" yourself, those goals are as follows.

Race 1 - Get Air 5 times
Race 2 - Land Perfectly 5 Times
Race 3 - Activate 6 Mines (This one was the most tricky but shouldn't prove to difficult as the track has a lot of mines scattered around)

After finishing the last race it should unlock, all said and done it should take less then an hour quite easily.

so from what i understand and recall from the training, to land perfectly i have to "straighten out" or "even out" my arms back to the center position after doing a front or back flip? the only tricks i have ever done were raising my arms up or putting them out to the sides. once i accidentally did a flip, i think by raising my arms, then pushing them forward, but no combinations of gestures have been able to recreate this. maybe you could give me some details, as i am stuck on challenge 2 and would like to get this done before i have to return the game to the rental store. thanks a bunch!

For the flips I always throw my hands in the air and lean my upper body backwards. This will cause a backflip to happen and once the flip starts you resume your normal racing position. Landing perfectly honestly does not require much difficulty, as once you are doing the flips it seems to be a perfect landing 95% of the time no matter what I do. I hope that clears it up for you.

thanks for the explanation. i finally got this last achievement. i searched online to find out that you have to lean your body not just move your hands. then i noticed a "pro tip" during the loading screen saying you can replay coach's trainings anytime from the options menu. that's what i get for not paying attention... it was much easier than i thought. thanks again for the response.

I cannot get close to winning the last race. I've tried several times and finished dead last every time. I even get lapped! The winner is getting a time of around 2:30, and my time is at best 3:20. It's impossible. roll

The best advice I can give is to make sure you are using the Speed Boost power-up and activating it as soon as its available to obtain the "Power Play" which fills the bar up significantly again. Hitting as many jumps, opponents and going near the mines will all net points for more power-ups. Being higher level doesn't hurt for a better Speed Boost but I wouldn't say its a requirement at all. Just don't get to frustrated as it can take a few tries before it goes smoothly.

Thanks for the tips. I was unaware of the existence of "Power Play", I'll try using it. Although the track is very twisty, so I'm not sure if boosting can help me. I am level 18 at Wake Racing I think. My Jet Ski has speed boost, 4 recharge, 1 power. My biggest problem is the difficulty of the track. The turns are so tight I lose all power (even if I don't take my hand off the throttle). A tracking issue it would seem. I am leaning in to help but no dice. Plus I am hitting 2 or 3 mines every time which is fatal because the other racers are as flawless as they are fast. They take perfect lines, never hit a mine, and do tricks off every wave. It's a nightmare. I'll keep trying.

OMG OMG OMG I did it! I just concentrated on the race, got the turns right, tried not to crash or hit any mines, used boost in the right places, and just about won. Luckily, my opponents seemed to have a bad race this time, and I had a good one. As I crossed the line, I didn't think I'd activated enough mines for the sponsor's liking, I was just happy to have got the hang of the circuit, but to my surprise, the cheev popped. Thanks for your help! +1.

Race 3 you have to win as well as activate 6 mines. Can't just go slow activating them like I tried

Edit: is it just me, or is race 3 impossible? get 2nd place almost every time by a few seconds

Unobtainable achievement. Nobody can meet any of the conditions for this achievement. Nobody has it.

sheesh, someone's having a bad time... clearly almost 100 other people have done it, including myself. while i can't say it was super easy, if was definitely not a super hard completion. keep trying bud!

The third one was tricky. Boosting into mines and sharp corners is no good, but speed boosts in safe/straight places, out of corners or after you crash got me through. A high recharge/low power boost is what I used so I wouldn't still be boosting when I was making my next turn.

Also, performing tricks off the ramps instead of just using them seems like you get a small boost when you land plus the extra points to fill your regular speed boost.

I tried to focus on mines for the first two laps until I got my 6, then pure speed to the end. Having the first place guy hit a mine right in front of you at the end helps too....

The rubber-banding difficulty of this game is really pissing me off, laugh. When I mess up at the beginning and end up with a time of 3:20, first place finishes in 3:05. But when I do a nearly perfect run and get 2:37, first place finishes in 2:34! The same crap happened to me during the bowling challenges! These challenges are fundamentally bad with this rubber-banded difficulty mechanism. roll It would have been a lot better if the AI were at a static difficulty, or if they allowed the user to choose the difficulty (i.e. normal, hard, expert, etc.)

The third race is basically completely up to the luck of what happens in the third lap. You can blow yourself up 3 times at the end of the second lap, be in 8th place going into the 3rd lap, and the game will still let you catch up and get first if you get lucky. On the contrary, you could race perfectly on the first two laps and be in first place going into the third lap only for the 2nd place AI to randomly speed up and pass you on one of the last turns. So far I've only gotten first once, but I miscounted and only ended up having 5 mine activations. Very annoying...

I agree with you KinectKid333, it's Canary Mary all over again. Does anyone else see the irony that the Battletoads sponsor is the hardest pack in KSR?

In all seriousness if the person in 1st doesn't hit a mine in the last 30 seconds of the final lap don't expect to win.
