How to unlock the Not so Ace! achievement in Kinect Sports Season Two - Definitive Guide

pretty easy done in 2 player.

get the first round out of the way so player 2 serves and then player 2 should throw the ball up and step forward as he/she swings, this should result in a perfect serve. just return it and have player 2 hold his arm out of its way.

I believe a perfect serve just has to do with hitting the ball at the top of the toss. I don't think you need to step during the serve.

Perfect solution I even did it with my 6 year old daughter and had her playing as my gamertag so I could do the perfect serve right at her it would bounce off her guy and then I got out of the way. Thumbs up.

Just got this using 1 person. Stand at the edge of the court, you have a higher chance achieveing it in championship difficulty since the com will serve an ace more often. The comp will serve the ace down the center so be prepared to react and do a return anticipating the serve down the center. Do a Power return but all the way in the most extreme right or left direction, it will be returned out of reach of the comp and you will unlock the achievement. Takes a few tries.

Confirmed Kenshin Goh's suggestion. Did it three times in one match.

This is my final achievement and it's causing me problems. I've managed to return a total amount of 2 serves on champion difficulity bug I guess they werent 'perfect' serves. Can anyone tell me how to achieve a perfect serve, and I might be able to ask my wife to try. Thanks.

Easiest done over XBL if you don't have a local partner.

Definitely play against champ CPU (mostly perfect serves) I took a left hand racket and just step forward and swing away in the far corners, got it 2nd try (maybe lucky dunno)

I don't think its about the speed. Your opponent needs to step forward and swing when the ball is at its highest, (i believe the balls trail should turns gold/yellow indicating a perfect serve) then you need to return it so your opponent misses.

I give up on this, I've returned over 30 now and most of them far side corners and they throw themselves after the ball each time even if they serve from far left and I return far right.

Managed to do this by myself in two player game. Hit ball when it was highest, thou using pants as other persons long hands, it might have counted as moving forward too, at least ball went fast with yellow line.

It isn't that simple. It only does the power hit with a backhand strike for me. So the back of your hand has to face the kinect, then you swipe forward with it. The games seems to take it that literally.

None of the tutorials tell you this, but if you take a step while hitting a volley, you’ll get a power shot. This is essential for winning points on higher difficulties. For “Not So Ace”, play on Champion difficulty and most of the CPU serves will be a power serve. Use your power shot and sharp angles in an attempt to win the point on your return. If you fail, try and keep the game at Deuce or ADV-Player so they are continually serving to you.
