How to unlock the Pitching for Points achievement in Kinect Sports Season Two - Definitive Guide

This is pretty easy. As long as you keep hitting the 3's, you'll get another ball and you can keep your score going up. To hit the 3 in the front, barely pull back your arms and throw them forward quick. For the middle 3's, pull your arms back just past your waist and swing forward quickly. To hit the 3's in the far back, draw your arms all the way back, wait a second, then swing them forward. If you hear the swoosh noise, you got the maximum swing. As for the wind, aim slightly to the opposite direction that it's blowing from with the above tips and you should have no problems.

Pretty much spot on, though I found even a tad above waist high counts closer to a big "swoosh". Might be that i'm 6-1, or my swing speed. Regardless got 58 after reading this :)

Was struggling to get past ~32 for a while and I couldn't figure out for the life of me why I was starting to get slices and hooks on my shots...then I realized, "oh, that's WIND going by there." haha Shot a 65 the next round.

What game mode is this for? I can't find the mini-game!

I "swing" with my hands right on my belly, ie., just about zero backswing and no follow-through and I get the swoosh and almost to the back of the green. I pull my hands all the way back, hold it and swing with all my might and it barely makes the front of the green. I pull back to waist high and swing slowly and it hits the back of the green. Those that the posted solution works for, do you have your Kinect Sensor on top or below the TV? Mine is on top and going to move it to test my hypothesis on the accuracy of the swinging being dependent on the placement.

I managed to hit 50 dead-on after moving the Kinect Sensor, but the accuracy didn't seem to improve any and I only had a single hit that actually went to the back of the green no matter how far back I pulled or hard I swung. The harder swings tended to not even get noticed with the avatar just waving in the air. I did find that swinging the club like a baseball bat helped a little bit on the longer shots, but not enough for me to say that did it. I was stuck in the mid-30s for probably 10 games before getting the 50. Guess I've played too much Tiger Woods 13 over the past couple of weeks.

I tried to follow your instructions but the sensor judge my motions seemingly random... Kinect on top of my TV or under it, didnt make any difference for me. Finally, after about 10 tries, I figured out that what you meant to say in your guide, translates to : teeing off with a driver, placing a shot with an iron 6/7 and putting or even using a wedge. When I tried to play like that, I got 49 (doh!) and 67 :) After 60, the targets also move to left and right, not just far and close. But by then, you'll have the achievement :)

You’ll have to hit island targets for high scores. Aim for 3 as often as possible as it is worth the most and grants you extra shots. For the back of the island swing hard, for the middle take an easy, relaxed swing, and for the front perform a light swing. This way you should never hit it over the island, but you ought to manage to hit it before the island if you swing too lightly. Part way through, there'll be wind thrown in. For light winds, line up your shot to the edge of the target and let the wind take it towards the centre. For strong winds you’ll aim quite a bit off target. Take a shot or two to adjust to those heavier winds.

Things get a little tricky around the 40s, just don’t panic and make sure at that point you get enough for the achievement.
