How to unlock the Beat the Gull-keeper achievement in Kinect Sports - Definitive Guide
I did this today in the Super Striker mini-game (part of the free DLC: see Free Kinect Sports DLC Released), rather than playing a match of soccer. In the mini-game you get tons of shots as opposed to a match. I wasn't paying attention at all to the goal, and actually hit a seagull on mistake. Boom, achievement unlocked. Good luck.

yes, I couldn't remember the name of the mini-game at the time, now that I have the game running again, I'll update my solution to be more specific.

I got this achievement purely by accident in this manner. The Super Striker mini game is great for this achievement because you spend the whole time kicking balls at the goal in rapid succession. You're bound to scare the bird at some point.

Target Kick still works for this - was at about mid 40s on points

This can either be done against a computer-controlled rival on any difficulty or against a friend locally or online. This one should occur through natural gameplay, however here are a few tips to ensure that you get it. The seagull seems to perch on the upper-left of the goalpost, so aiming in the top left hand corner seems to work best. Bear in mind however that he will not always be there, so keep an eye out when shooting to ensure that if he’s there, that you get him. To scare him, you can either score a goal or miss; it doesn’t matter which as long as the ball travels in his general direction, enough to be deemed a threat!
