How to unlock the Neon Lanes Champion achievement in Kinect Sports - Definitive Guide

So the way I did this achievement was I got a chair and put like two big pillows (so it would register my arm better) just try different heights on the chair. What you want to do is move the chair around until you find the "sweet spot"(the spot that you hit a strike over and over) what this method will do is give you a consistent throw. Limit all shoulder movement and don't ever stand up or move the chair once you find the spot. The only time you should/have to stand up is when you have to put you hands above your head, because it won't register you sitting until it has started. Stay consistent I can't stress this enough.

For me my sweet spot was a three-six inches or so to the left, I'm right handed, on the screen my hand would register one left of the center triangle and when I pulled back it would go to the center then on the push forward it would go back to the one left triangle sending the ball straight to the center for a strike everytime. On my release I aimed for the green light on the kinect sensor itself. This helps keep consistency.

I don't expect this to get positive votes but it should add slot of good and different approaches to the achievement. Hope this helps everyone get the achievement.

Great tip. Worked for me. Had a couple of practice rounds and ended with a 289.
The thing that worked for me, was sitting in the exact same position and being very focused on my arm going straight down and up again, having the aim light up just left of the center (i'm right handed).
I had 10 strikes in a row and lastly a 9 and a zero.

It worked so fast, that by the end of this, i was just bumped up to lvl 6 (this was the first sport I played).

Yeah, I got 248, but finding my sweet spot really helped. I've attempted the 250 about 25 times now, I'll get it eventually.

i did this but used 2 chairs to create a narrow alley/path for my arm to move through... with this method i got all strikes except the 6th 8th and 2nd part of the 10th frame and finished with a 251 and that was only in my 2nd attempt using this method.....would have done better but one frame i set myself up with a 7/10 split...obv stand up to bowl if you need to pick up a spare

How isnt it clear basically find a chair that registers you move the chair till your set up for the strike... the chair is to keep consistency so that you dont change at all when you bowl. You can negative but obviously it helped 20 people

Really?! How is it not clear?! Let's analyze your first sentence.

"I got a chair"

--Ok.

"put like two big pillows"

--Put them where? Do what with them? Is it like a pillow with a pillowcase that I put my arm through? Do I hold the end of it and swing? Why are there 2 pillows?

"just try different hight's on the chair."

--I have no clue what questions to even ask.

It is unbelievable to me that you think you have been clear when you haven actually described what motion to perform.

Hmm I just would assume that I wouldnt have to spell it out word for word as that might confuse things. I guess I assumed people would use common sense I.e. a chair is used for sitting I suspose I could have said place the pillows on the chair so that kinect registers you as standing. If you would desire me to break down any other sentences for you I will. Also if you continued to read it says the pillows are for the hight of the chair. I try to help people to the best of my abilities.

I can make a video but it will just be me sitting in a chair with pillows on it swinging my hands as if I am bowling.

Maybe the fact that you spelled "height" wrong didn't help. Most people on this site speak English. The plural of height is heights. "hight's" is not even close.

Thanks fot pointing out the mistake alot of my guides I write I reread then and sometimes dint catch things! Congrats on being the first to notice this one lmao. Also I really shouldnt need to make a video as all its going to be is me sitting on a chair with pillows making the bowling motion with my arm staying as still as possible... if you dont like my guide dont like it but dont dislike it because you cant get the achievement I am just trying to explain exactly what I did so that people can replicate for results.

With this achievement of 250 points and the bowling champion was a problem, I calibrated the kinect as well, finally I took a square chair and started looking for the perfect place approx. 2 meters from the kinect, then I sat at the left corner in front of the chair a little uncomfortable so that the kinect could see the hand better and I had a completely straightened arm, my hand was going from the back straight to the kinecta along the chair, here is the movie best overtaken by another user, maybe unsuccessful Strike you will have to adjust the chair slightly changing the angle slightly, the arm must be completely straight. I found and finally managed to unlock two heavy achievements.

Translated with Google Translate.

I'm getting ready to give up on this. I've never been so frustrated with an achievement before. I only got the chair thing to ever work once and got a 5 bagger and then just could not ever do it again. I've tried the other solutions too and same thing. It all just works until it doesn't. And then just won't work again. Either throws right into the gutter (when trying the curve strategy) or just decides to stop throwing at all being stuck on my hand (with the chair).

I made a video of how I was able to get the achievement. It is based on previously shared methods, bit I thought I could provide my own take on it.

WARNING!: Video may be loud.

DISCLAIMER! There is still a bit of luck with this achievement. The AI score varies wildly, but this should still get you a high enough score.

Don't like videos? Here's some text:
You'll want to find a square seated chair. Position your chair slightly off centered. As a righty, I sat slightly to the left so that my throwing arm was about centered with the Kinect. You should be seated about 2/3 meters away with the Kinect sensor at approximately chest height.

When you throw your ball, you'll want to keep as straight a line as possible. This is why you need a square seated chair. You should be seated right at the edge of your chair so that your arm can go straight down passed the seat. Begin by dragging your arm along the side of the chair and follow through to make a straight throw. I'm sorry if that isn't super clear, but that's why their is a video.

The initial movement of your arm determines the angle of the ball. By dragging your arm along the flat side of a square chair, you assure the ball goes straight down the lane. The second half of your swing determines curve. By beginning along the side of the chair, you set your arm on a straight course essentially negating any curve.

Doing this method gave me a winning score of 274. This was the second game I tried it. The first game we tied with a score of 267. Therefor, I can confirm a tie does NOT count as win.

Good luck, and sorry to be many years late.

On average the computer gets a 246, although the scores varied down into the 230's and up into the 250's. It probably wouldnt be a bad idea to work on this and the 250 game achievement at the same time.

If you have more than two open frames (non-spare or strike frames) you probably wont reach 250.

This is not really a solution but helpful suggestion.

I just got this achievement by doing the same exact thing with my arm everytime while bowling. what I would do would be starting at the second to last arrow on the right and then bring my arm diagonal across my body up towards my face while always finishing with my bicep on the right side of my nose(throwing arm side) after getting used to this motion it wasn't long before i bowled a perfect game. Yes there were time when i wouldn't get a strike or spare but you just have to keep working at it getting the same throw everytime. Good luck and I hope this helps anyone trying to get this

*If you vote negatively please tell me why so I can make this solution better*

*sigh*. Nothing's working. I've tried this method as well the other guides, but I can't seem to get above the turkey. Then the next frame I manage to have a pin standing up on one of the far sides. I know that twisting your arm while swinging it gives more spin to the ball. Is this something to avoid when going for this achievement.

This requires you to win a game of bowling on Champion Difficulty. As the name suggests, it is rather challenging, especially for 10 as your opponent regularly hits strikes and spares. A lot of practice is advised before tackling this achievement, ensuring that you can consistently hit plenty of strikes, as you will need them if you want any chance of winning. A good stance always helps, with one foot behind the other and the shoulder you’ll be throwing with positioned slightly back (as if you were actually bowling). Line up the ball with the centre arrow, bring the ball back and release, leaning forward slightly but remembering to keep your arm straight, or else the ball will curve.
