How to unlock the Turbo Pants achievement in Kinect Sports - Definitive Guide

Choose the sprint minigame.

You'll need to lean forward and possibly bend your knees (ive heard both will give you boost) at the starting line, and if done correctly you'll notice everything is blurry when you start running.

To finish, with a boost, simply lean forward as if you were actually running and trying to get to the tape in front of the other runners.

It doesnt matter if you win, so take the running part easy if it takes you a couple of tries.

Ok, after seeing some messages on the game, i think it has to primarily with leaning forward. So try to put more focus on the lean at the start

Thanks for the tips. I just got this today. So thumbs up on your description.

You may want to add to your solution that it's easiest to do this achievement in the Track and Field "Sprint" mini-game. That way you don't have to play an entire track and field match only to mess up the start or finish boost, ya know.

As far as the start, I crouched with one foot forward, and jumped up to running in place when it said "GO". The screen should be blurry if you did it right. How fast you go after that isn't important, but lean your head forward as you cross the line and boom, achievement unlocked.

Bend forward, almost 90 degrees at the waist at the start, I did it without bending knees, and pop up really fast when it says Go. A few steps before the finish lean forward, make it really obvious so the sensor picks it up.

I got this just now, description is good. It took a few tries, but eventually I realized that unlike a real life race you're not looking to spring forward at all. Which was the mistake I was making. All you need to do is bend oven and then stand up quickly on 'GO' then get running.

I could get the start boost pretty easily (lean forward then stand up straight quickly whne you get "go") but was struggling to get the end boost. The key is to wait until you are almost over the finish line then lean forward, if you to it too early you won't get the finish boost!

I got it thanks to killswitch comment and thomaskorats comment and a bit from everyone here. I had 10 attempts and at my first correct start i also got the finish correct and that was because i did not do it too early im sure.

Choose the sprinting minigame.

The hard part here is getting the start boost. You must position yourself in an exact manner prior to the race. The racer's starting position is bending forward with one leg in front of the other. You arms must also be properly placed. If you crouch with your right leg forward, your right arm should be behind your torso and your left arm should be in front of your torso. Bend your elbows about 90 degrees. If you need help, look at the picture of the achievement.

Once the announcer says "Go", pop up and swing your arms like you are running.

As you approach the finish line, the track changes to a darker color for the last 10 meters or so. At this point lean your torso forward like you are attempting to cross the line with your head.

You know you have performed either boost correctly because the screen becomes blurry momentarily.

Tried this loads but just couldn't get the starting boost. However I eventually figured it out.

The KEY is on the start lean forward until GO then lean BACK to get the boost.

Hope this helps.

As mentionned.. go to the minigame... when you start... really really lean your body in front so you can see your avatar on an angle and as soon as set.. GO... put your back really straight and start running.. dont try too look stupid & start running on an angle lol.. it doesnt work, trust me, I tried... & for the ending.. about 10 meters before the finishing line just really put your body on a 45/50 degree angle & you shouldnt have any problems gaining the boost at the end if you managed a boost at the beginning

If that was helpfull ;) thumbs up !

The start boost is easy. Crouch down like you're in the blocks and then start jogging as soon as the gun fires.

I was having trouble with the finish boost, but I got it. Near the end, stop running and lunge forward on one leg. That'll trigger the boost.

This is best done on a low difficulty to begin with, until you get the hang of it. Once you’ve mastered it however, it is invaluable to winning the 100m, especially on Champion difficulty. Simply begin the race like an actual runner, crouched slightly, with one foot in front of the other, arms posed to run. You will know if you get a boost start because you will have tunnel vision, and it will look slightly blurry as you boost. When it comes to finishing, just before the line, lean forward like athletes do and you will boost finish. If you’ve done it correctly, the achievement should pop.
