You can get 3 different halo toys in the game. You only need to get and play with one of them to get the achievement.
The first is a warthog and unlocks after you get a silver medal in the 1st contest in La selva. This should be fairly easy and cause no problems, it is probably the easiest of the three to unlock.
The second toy is a ghost which unlocks after you have earned a silver medal in the Imperial Raceway contest in Cherry Blossom Grove.
The third halo unlockable is a grunt doll, it will unlock once you have obtained a gold medal in the Lakeland Dash contest at Suri Mountain.
Once you have got one of these just play with it in a free-play area and the achievement will unlock.

After using the Halo Ghost in the RC race you will get it again after the contest. All you have to do is play with it and the achievement will pop.

Halo Ghost? I got a warthog. Does every one get a different Halo vehicle?

In La Selva there is a contest called "La Selva Speedabout". Enter that contest and get the medal to unlock the Halo Warthog. Then once you get back to La Selva in freeplay, open your toy box and select "RC Cars" and select the Warthog and just drive it around and this unlocks.
