After getting off the carriage, your family will walk on ahead, leaving you with all the luggage. Do not pick up the luggage and try to follow your family. Walk off screen 8 times and the story will briefly restart before forcing you to pick up the luggage.

When the coach drops Graham, the family and all the luggage off, don't pick up the luggage. Try to walk off to the upper left 8 times. After a brief visit back to the start, the game will resume with Graham carrying the luggage.
