How to unlock the Graham the Basilisk achievement in King's Quest - Definitive Guide
After the fraud takes you to the entrance of the tournament near the beginning of the game, you will see the other prospective knights and some guards. Take the path to the right down to the river and jump on the stones until you fall in the river. This causes the guards to save you. Afterwards go to the right of the stones and the grass and keep pressing up on the controller, towards the opposite shore. It's tricky, but you'll find a hidden path that lets you walk across the river.
If you cross the river another way first you'll have to restart the chapter to get this.

Two helpful notes.
You do not need to fall in the river and have guards save you, though it is funny, it is not necessary.
Secondly, the "secret" path is indeed tough to start walking across, but locating it is a huge help. Don't wander all the way to the right hand side of the screen. If you are directly in front of the stones that cause the guards to save you, walk right just a few steps until in the foreground ahi ur view of Graham gets blocked by a small orange tre. This is your indicator that you are close to the rocky path you can cross.
You also need to completely cross the river and wait for old Graham to make a comment, then this trophy will unlock.

Missable
After arriving at the tournament in the cart, you will notice that the bridge is out. Go down the stream and there will be a row of 4 reeds on the last reed; you will be able to walk across to the other side as if there was solid ground there.
When you arrive at the broken bridge, go down the hill to the right and walk forward into the water between the two patches of grass on the far right of the stepping stones. You can do this immediately, or after the log falls in the water.
