How to unlock the Cleric's pet achievement in Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Definitive Guide

This achievement is highly missable.

You have to do all the 6 tasks in a single playthrough and tell them all to the inquisitor in Sasau after doing the sinner journey (in a room right above Johanka's).

Spoiler ahead:

If you have missed a single task of these 6, you have to start a whole new playthrough. You can combine this with other missable achievements like "Trial and Error" from the "From the Ashes" DLC.

Just to add to this solution - Everything above is correct, except for one small detail. You must complete the Waldensians side quest, find father Simon in the “A man of the cloth” quest, embark on the hallucinations with the witches in the woods, get drunk with father Godwin in Uzhitz, and find the devils skull. However, you do NOT have to complete the “Needle in a haystack” quest in the monastery. You must become a monk and infiltrate the monastery, but you do not have to complete the quest, simply go downstairs to the cellar and witness that there has been drinking and dice playing going on. I feared that since I had not completed this quest in my playthrough that the achievement would be void. But that is not the case. You are able to report this to the inquisitor simply by just witnessing it in the cellar. You’ll get an audible queue from Henry saying something along the lines of “this shouldn’t be happening here” and that’s as far as you need to go with it. Hopefully this helps someone out as the monastery quests were horribly mundane.

Upvote for the solution, but man, this sounds seriously awful.

I'm not sure if I have a save where I've done these six tasks as described. I really liked this game a lot, but the thought of a third playthrough just for this one achievement is really frustrating.

I wish devs would stop adding achievements that require a completely new playthrough every few months. I'm looking at you, "hardcore mode," "Trial and Error," and now "Cleric's Pet."

Exactly the same problem. Hadn't drunk with Godwin in my playthrough... now I do it again. Just looked these things up for all of you because here wasn't a guide for this.

Any idea if sneaking to the basement of the monastery without starting “Needle in a haystack” is enough?

Edit:
I tried it again and told him everything in the same order listed above and it popped!

(Well, i didn't get the achievement. Not after telling the Inquisitor everything, nor after the complete quest...)

@MiST 1001
Dont know because I never tried it this way.

@BOW MA121
Dont know why it didn't unlock. IF you did everything on the list above you should have get it. It could be you did a detail wrong OR its a XBoc issue of popping later.

Did you finish the quest and find it while doing it? Or just went to the location and got the skull? Because you have to do it in the normal way with the quest, else you wouldn't know that it's the devils skull. You have to prove that it's not a devils skull etc and finish the quest about it first.

The getting drunk with Priest Godwin in Ushitze part even conflicts with the Virgin achievement... For a man like me who couldn't get any of the two achievements in my first run, that means I have to play the game twice for each of the two... What nonsense...

MISSABLE

There are 6 quests in the base game that affect this. Once completed, you can tell them to the Inquisitor in Sasau after completing the quest "The Wicket Gate". Here is a list of all 6 of them and what you need to do:

  • A Man of the Cloth - Find Father Simon in the woods
  • A Needle in a Haystack - See the drinking monks at night in the basement
  • Dance with the Devil - Complete the quest and choose to hallucinate
  • Mysterious Ways - Get drunk with the priest
  • The House of God - Find the devil's skull
  • Waldensians - Complete the quest

Upon the arrival of Inquisitor Yaroslav, there will be a very interesting dialogue with him (Before the trial), of course, in order to hear all the unique phrases, you need to go at least to Vranik’s camp according to the plot, you also need to go through a couple of additional quests, for example, a quest from Boguta to identify witches.
We select the dialogue branch “I want to talk to you about suspicious things...” and send everything in white to the inquisitor, trying not to lie, otherwise there will be a risk of going to prison.

ATTENTION! TROPHY IS EASY TO MISS!
You must complete all 6 tasks in one playthrough and tell them all to Inquisitor Yaroslav near the monastery before the trial:

1) Complete the task and see drinking monks in the side task “Bad Habits” (Task: Needle in a Haystack )
2) Complete the task of Sir Hanush of Lipa (Task: Waldenses )
3) Complete the task of Father Boguta from Uzice and decide to hallucinate (Task: Games with the Devil )
4) Complete the task and find the devil’s skull from the task of Pan Divis in Talmberg (Task: House of God )
5) Complete the task and find Father Simon in the forest (Task: Servant of the Church )
6) Complete the task and get drunk with the priest Boguta from Uzice (Task: Mysterious Paths )

If you missed any of these 6 tasks, then you will need to start a completely new walkthrough from scratch.

It is not necessary to complete the entire monastery or the “Needle in a Haystack” quest. It is enough to sleep the first night until about midnight and go down to the cellar where the monks drink. The hero will comment on this, and this will be enough to report to the inquisitor. You can leave the monastery by first stealing the key to the monastery from the monk in the library.

Complete 6 quests in advance: catch the monastery drinkers, deal with the Waldenses, have fun with women in Uzhitz, get drunk with the priest, return the priest to Rovna, find the devil’s skull in the monastery.
