How to unlock the Pilgrim achievement in Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Definitive Guide

Here's a great tool to help find the needed shrines/crosses, Just select them from the side bar.

https://kingdomcomemap.github.io

Additionally not on the map there are art on walls around the world that contribute to this achievement. So far I've found:

3 in the big Rattay church.
12 in the small Rattay church near the north blacksmith.
4 in the Rattay north castle.
2 in the Rattay south castle. credit to CanaDa Fwend
8 in the small church in Sasau.
1 in the church in Uzhitz.
3 in Talmberg shrine. credit to VveniVvidiVvici

If you know the location of any more let me know and I'll credit you.

This does not require you to find them all. I unlocked this after restarting for a third playthrough on hardcore after normal mode bugged out and corrupted all my saves twice.

I had only read maybe 20 shrines and crosses and a few frescoes when the acheivement popped. It seems to keep adding all previously read shrines, crosses, or frescoes from previous playthroughs.

Thanks for the map! Some additional information for this achievement: you don't actually need to find every shrine/cross. There are some on that map I never found or interacted with, yet I still got the achievement. Also, make sure to interact with each shrine and cross for it to count. The achievement tracker never increased for me just by finding the shrines/crosses; it only increased after I hit the A button to interact with them. I noticed that sometimes a shrine would make my tracker increase by three percent. Crosses were always one percent. Anyway, not as bad of an achievement as the ratio would suggest.

Great spots! With these art pieces you definitely can skip a fair few of the further away crosses / shrines.

The third one in Talmberg is behind the door you opened to get into the shrine room. Close it to reveal your collectible.

Also, to clear up what @Redfox888 said above, I was NOT able to bonus progress on a new playthrough by "reading" previously visited art pieces or fresh conc. crosses. I did not delete any playthroughs however, just had my normal mode and HC mode saves run parallel.

N.B It's not enough to find the shrines and crosses, you need to read them in order for them to count for the achievement.

I was wondering why my achievement tracker for this was so low, until I figured it out. It's easy to keep track of which shrines you've read if you do it the instant the notification pops up. When going back to read all the ones you've already found, not so much.

Just a tip, besides going around and finding all the crosses and shrines, inside of Rattay & sasau churches there is artwork on the walls, about 20 total between the two churches. They all count towards this achievement.

Once inside the churches look at the walls and if it says "read" then click and get the progress!

In Sasau it's the church that's there in the main town, not the monastery.

Wayside shrine and conciliatory cross locations map: https://imgur.com/l17tr2c

There are 91 shrine and cross icons on this map. You should get the achievement with 90 ('Art objects found' in statistics). Purple flags represent crosses which should also count as art objects.

*** YOU NEED TO READ THEM! ***

Rather than traditional collectibles, KC:D contains dozens of wayside shrines and conciliatory crosses that can be read, which contain the names of those that backed the project on Kickstarter.

In order to earn this achievement, you must interact with and read most (but not all) of the shrines and crosses placed along the roadways of Bohemia, as well as each of the murals in the Rattay and Sasau churches and the Talmberg and Rattay (2) castles. There are more crosses and shrines in the game than are needed for the achievement.

The best method to do this is to make a point of interacting with each cross or shrine as you discover it. If you discover a shrine or cross but are unable to immediately dismount and read it (i.e. because you are being chased by Bandits), just make a note of where it is and return later.

As you will be spending much of this game riding around (especially if you are doing a Hardcore playthrough with fast travel disabled), this diligent method will essentially earn this through natural play, rather than having to grind it out.

You can find these among all the roads. You actually have to interact with each one you come across for it to count, because just having it "discovered" does not. The good thing is, you don't have to actually find every one of them, just the most of them. 90 is how many you need. This is a combined total between the wayside shrines and conciliatory crosses. Art that you can read on the Church walls also count towards this total.

Make sure you read them when you discover them, because you won't be able to tell which ones you have read and which ones you haven't. This will keep you from going back to each one and reading them.

You can view a map with all them marked here: LINK.

Shrines and crosses you find on the road count for this, obviously. But so do artworks in churches. Anything that says "read" in the church counts. The church in Sausa (not monastery), the two churches in Rattay, and both Rattay castles have artwork.

You need 90 total to get this. It's tracked in the stats page under Art Objects Found I believe it is, but Art is definitely in the name.

You must click read on the object for it to count, be it cross, shrine or art.

It is not necessary to search for all crosses/temples, it is enough to find 90.

The number of inscriptions read can be viewed in the statistics in the “Tasks” tab, “Found objects of art” item.

The easiest way to look for frescoes is in Churches or other buildings:
(I played in English, but I will try to translate the places of the charms that I know)

3 frescoes - in the lower church of Rattay
12 frescoes - in the upper church of Rattay, where Jan Ptacek’s uncle (forgot his name) runs to pray in the morning
4 frescoes in the room - the dressing room of that same Uncle Ian (if you enter from the street, going up the stairs to this room, there will be 2 doors on the left and right. Approach each of the doors and look left and right in these “doorposts”)
8 frescoes in the small church of Sasau
1 fresco in the Uzhitz church

Total: 28 frescoes.
Better than running around the map looking for 28 shrines or crosses.

To make it easier to get the trophy, I highly recommend visiting the temples in Rattay, Sazava, Uzhice, as well as the chambers of some lords. In them you can find drawings on the walls, which also count as found art objects.
