How to unlock the Haggler achievement in Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Definitive Guide

Haggling can be done for pretty much any transaction. I would highly recommend getting the 'Final offer' speech perk for this also as it gives you a shot of redemption if you ask for too much straight off the bat.

The easiest way to do this is to make a large purchase (4k+) once your rich. At that point you will probably already have
Kingdom Come: DeliveranceScroogeThe Scrooge achievement in Kingdom Come: Deliverance worth 64 pointsHoard 5,000 Groschen.

I could easily haggle transactions of that amount down by 1k, meaning that I would only have to do it twice (and for those astute among you, you can always just reload after the transactions so you save money).

Both the weaponsmith and armorsmith in Rattay sell expensive gear, but I did it buying potion recipes from the apothecary there instead. Also top end horse equipment is very expensive as well.

Regardless of how you do it, save 2000 Groschen through haggling and the achievement is yours.

Hope this helps,

Let's keep cheevin' together!

Just to add to the above solution.

You can check your exact saving by going to plyyer; statistics. dialogue and you will see the exact amount you haved saved in Groschen.

Also just to clarify this achievement is for money saved, therefore its from purchases and not selling to vendors.

Haggling is HUGE in this game. Keep spending Groschen and keep haggling and eventually you'll have saved enough. You can see how much you've saved by opening your inventory, then going to Player and Statistics.

To haggle, when you're looking at your basket, hold down . This counts for getting a cheaper price using haggling while buying things and also getting more out of selling things as well. I suggest you always haggle with everything, as when you're successful, it'll sometimes add to your reputation which you need to get up high in each city.

Constantly trying to get the price as low as possible will probably get you that trophy faster, but it will also ruin your reputation with many merchants.

It is best to set a discount of 15 - 20 percent from the possible one, so that merchants accept your price immediately without unnecessary haggling and, at the same time, increase their reputation. Ultimately, if you have a good relationship with the merchant, he will agree to give you bigger and bigger discounts, which will benefit you in the long run.

Also try to sell or buy as many goods as possible at one time, so that the discounts are more significant and you don’t have to “vomit” bidding for 10 - 15 pennies at all.

The simplest option: when you have saved up 20k or more, go to a blacksmith or armorsmith and buy goods for every penny, you can save more than 3k.

PS don't forget to save

if you have leveled up your lockpicking skill, then you don’t even have to save, but calmly buy up all the equipment from a gunsmith/armor specialist for 27-30 thousand and he will give up these 2000 pennies without any problems. We pay, take the loot, go to the merchant’s chest and take back the pennies we paid him. Loot can be sold for free to him or anyone else, thereby raising his reputation.
