How to unlock the Sniper achievement in Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Definitive Guide

Not so much a guide but a huge easy tip... when in a battle with an enemy (even multiple) just have your bow out ready to shoot, once they are right in front of you... hit them in the head... you should have an arrow with 110+ damage and it should kill them first hit to the head...

... also you cannot farm this by doing it then reloading a save... it goes by how many you have with your character on a single save ... just like the Hunter achievement.

reloading doesnt count for the achievement -a least for me...

i had the Task to clear a Bandit camp - i sneaked up and gave a headshot to the first one - then hided till the rest went back sleeping and repeated it - got 5 headshots - i reloaded right bevor the camp and did the same Thing again - but my progress didnt Change - it has to be done on new foes... same as the stealth kill achievement

I had good luck in knocking them out while they are sleeping then taking my time to line up the shot. Also when they surrender and kneel in front of you, there is enough time to fire 1 maybe 2 at their head

Roam the Neuhof roads there are two point where bandits and cumans. One from Rattay Mill to Neuhof Mill. Another is from Rattay North gate.

Must be bandits or cumans! Hostile guards or aggroed neutral NPCs did not count towards sniper--they do count towards serial killer however.

If you’re like me and you did the merciful play through and are now running round trying to get kills try this method for headshots.

Go out at night to bandit camps and knock them out then just shoot them in the head. My stealth was so high with the merciful play through it was easy to do. Combine this with the other suggestions and you should get to 50 quickly.

I found the simplest and quickest method was to fight with an enemy until they surrender and cower in a crouched position a this point pull out your bow for an unmissable headshot.

I did the kill bandits missions for Capt. Bernard Also a great ethod of spawning fight encounters is to simply use fast travel.

Make sure you equip the best arrows as armoured enemies wont go down in 1 with the weaker arrows. As your skill with the bow improves you will be able to get some beauty headshots.

Looking at my combat stats I have 54 Enemy Kills by Headshots but my achievement tracker is "stuck" at 96% percent. Has anyone else had issues? Never mind, the Achievement finally popped when I hit 56 Enemy Kills by Headshots.

So my method is quite simple, get somewhere that they cannot walk up to you. A roof, a tall fence, a cart. Anywhere that allows you to look at the guys that want to attack you and keep you out of their weapons reach.

This is just one location to do this, there are many places you can get to but the kicker is that you need to find actual enemies to kill for this, such as Bandits and Cuman's. I'm not convinced that enemies that you made attack you like guards or villagers count towards this achievement.

I will add more locations to this solution if I can find a suitable location for it. A space you can jump up to quickly enough and a place where enemies frequently spawn are surprisingly hard to find.

Aiming a bow can be a pain in this, especially since there are no perks for bows like there are for other weapons to help you out. The higher your bow skill, the less it will sway. I suggest getting in close to the enemy while they are trying to attack you and aim for the head while they are close to make it easier to get headshots.

The idea is simple, but in reality it is quite difficult to obtain.

You just need to kill enemies (and the enemies are Cumans and bandits) with bow shots to the head. Need I explain that, taking into account the game's aiming system, for successful hits at medium and long distances you will need to develop certain intuitive shooting skills. "Archer's Medicine" will help you.

Well, the easiest way that I found for myself is to shoot enemies stupidly at point-blank range. The method is especially effective if you have good armor, when the blows of most types of melee weapons do not cause much harm and do not knock down the drawn bowstring. Quickly running from one stupid bandit to another with a bow, you can calmly mow down entire camps, but even if several opponents are attacking you at once, then retreating back and methodically filling their heads with arrows, you will easily emerge victorious from this scrape (especially important in against the backdrop of imperfections in the game's melee combat system).

The method described above very clearly demonstrates all the problems of game AI, so I do not recommend using it if you do not want to be disappointed in the game mechanics ahead of time.

The number of enemies killed in the head can be seen in the section: “Player” > “Statistics” > “Battles” > the item “Killed enemies with a headshot”.

A great place to boost the trophy is Vranik, during the mission The die is cast, 48 enemies await you inside who will not attack you, two civilians (a recruiter and a zbyshek) and two unkillable characters (Erik and a fencer, it is better not to aggro them). With good bow skills, 48 headshots will take about 10 minutes. All that remains is to find only two (it is better to get them before the start of the mission).

If you have problems with the number of enemies, then spam fast travel between two cities, the road to which lies through the forest. Events to attack you will happen quite often.

In general, there is a way. Stun a robber or Cuman for and take out your bow and aim straight at the head, after a couple of seconds it will say dead. Before this action, go to the statistics and see how much it was, after this action, also look and if the number is higher, then you are doing everything correctly.

Considering the imperfect aiming system, I found my own (perhaps a little cheating) way.
We find a camp of robbers or Polovtsy (easily found by the characteristic “hazes” on the map). We get there around 10-11 pm in order to carry out reconnaissance not in pitch darkness. We wait until midnight or a little later, here you have the advantage of stealth, a “sneaking chameleon” and others like it.
Most likely, by this time there will be only one sentinel left in the camp. If there is a dog, we get closer, aggro it towards ourselves, take it into the darkness, there we pin it with a melee weapon. After this, we study the patrolman’s route of movement, approach him and gently strangle him from behind. We don’t kill, otherwise the others, when they wake up, will become agitated; we don’t need that. After stunning, we approach the fire with the snack and throw poison into the snack. It is poison, and not poison, from poison that enemies can die completely.
We retreat into the darkness beyond the patrol route (he will come to his senses), wait until 8 am by rewinding time. At about eight, the camp will begin to gather to eat. Having drunk poison, the poisoned will crawl onto their mats in order to improve their health with the help of healing sleep.
So at about 9 am we get together (it’s better to save ourselves with schnapps, of course, because it may not work out or there’s a glitch) and go to reap the harvest.
We don’t make any noise, we approach each one in turn, strangle the one lying down, take off his helmet and everything under the helmet - and you can aim as much as you like.

Most often, after 3-4 game days in a cleared camp, enemies will spawn again, but this does not always happen; I was not able to track the pattern.
I would also like to draw your attention to the fact that if you complete this achievement along with the achievement for the number of enemies killed, then you should not take the easy path and take out camps on the quests of Bernard, Borek and someone else. As soon as you take out the quest camps, the area will immediately become “cleaner”, you will no longer come across peasants who want to kick you with a stick - that is, the easiest way to stuff corpses in Bohemia.
At least, that’s how it happened for me - after the camps were cleared, random events on the roads stopped happening altogether.
