How to unlock the Been There, Done That achievement in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II - Definitive Guide
**Missable**
In order to get the ‘Been There, Done That’ achievement, you pretty much have to do most of the game’s content. While “most” isn’t the most scientific term, as long as you do a few things and pay attention to the below, you shouldn’t miss anything. But in short, you basically need to do pretty much everything - i.e. well over 100 quests (main quests, side quests and tasks).
Firstly, you need to know how to get the side quests and tasks to show up easily:
- Every time you get to a new town/village, speak to the innkeeper and ask them what’s going on in the region. This will add mission icons (white shields and a yellow star icon) to the map.
- Every time you get a side mission/task, do it then and there. This will stop you missing side quests (more on that below).
- Fast-travel a lot between routes and every time you hit an obstacle, stop and check it out. Some side quests and tasks are initiated this way (see Master of Masters (45G)).
Now, for the most part, you’re not really locked out of much content - even after the credit rolls, but you are definitely locked out of at least a handful of quests if they’re not done by the two points of no return.
Those points of no return and the side quests you can miss are as follows:
Point of No Return #1 - Main Quest: Necessary Evil - Towards the end of the quest, after interrogating the prisoner, before you speak to von Bergow is the point of no return. You’ll get a massive fullscreen notice when you reach this point.
Quests you can miss if not completed by the time you go past the point of no return:
- Demons of Trosky
Point of No Return #2 - Main Quest: Orates - Towards the end of the quest you’ll have to head back to Ruthard Palace. You’ll get a massive fullscreen notice when you reach this point.
Quests you can miss if not completed by the time you go past the point of no return:
- Ransom - While you don’t fail this one, Ransom needs to be completed before you go to see the legate if you want access to backup at the handover in the quest (i.e. Kubyenka and co.).
- The Thunderstone
- Hush, My Darling
- Absolver (Task)
- Lost Honour
While Ransom isn’t technically missable, the others definitely are. The other 4 are all quests that are tied to Sigismund’s Camp in the middle of Kuttenberg. So, make sure they’re done before you get to the conclusion of the Oratores main quest.
So long as you get all of those (or even most of those), you can leisurely complete the rest of the side quests/tasks after the credits have rolled, if you so wish. I failed a few quests (2) and still had the potential of doing well over 115 quests (including main quests) when all was said and done, which is more than enough to satiate the requirements to unlock the ‘Been There, Done That’ achievement.
Based on this, I will say that you have to have completed 100 missions for this achievement to unlock. I did this before the mission “Dancing with the Devil”.
