How to unlock the Henry the Matchmaker achievement in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II - Definitive Guide

This is unlocked during the side quest “Hush, my Darling”.

Once you have started this, it is recommended you do this straight away, as it’s a time based quest which can fail.

- Find Black in the infirmary and heal him, the game suggests a digestive potion.
- Choose the speech option, “I’ll tell her”.
- Go and find Victoria, and choose the option “Wait, I’ll be back”.
- Go back to Black, crouch and knock him out. Pick him up, and take him to Victoria.
- If you get caught by the guards, pass the speech check or pay (it was 240 for me), and then just pick him back up. I was allowed to walk past all the guards.
- Drop him at Victoria, talk to her and achievement unlocked!

**Super Highly Missable**

The ‘Henry the Matchmaker’ achievement is highly missable for 3 reasons: 1. It seems that it’s an achievement with a time limit, because I left it ages to do this side quest, and when we went out to Victoria’s position as part of the quest, she was already dead; 2. You need to have it done before the second point of no return in the Oratores main quest in Kuttenberg; and 3. You need to make a specific choice in the quest to be able to carry Victoria’s significant other to her.

The side quest in question is a side quest called, “Hush, My Darling,” and involves speaking to innkeeper Zdeslav in Miskowitz about anything going on in town. He’ll tell you to speak to Martha, the blacksmith’s wife. This will start the side quest, “Hush, My Darling.” Once you pick it up, do it straight away. Do not delay, as it’ll make this achievement impossible if you leave it too long. Luckily if that’s the case, load up your Sword and the Quill auto save and make a beeline for Miskowitz.

In terms of how to get this achievement, after following up on various leads, you’ll be steered towards Sigismund’s Camp. Now, you can either go to the Smithy on the main path that heads through the camp to the northwest to get information; or you can go straight to Black - who was Victoria’s piece on the side - who’s in the infirmary.

Once you’ve spoken to Black, and treated him (he has food poisoning, so give him a Digestive Potion), speak to him again and don’t antagonise him. When he criticises her, just say ““Alright. I’ll tell her.” Then, crouch down, knock him out and carry him out of the camp to the location in the woods to the east.

Now, moving him out of the camp is obviously suss and will attract the guards, so you can either a.) take them all out and carry him out (easier at night); or b.) the much easiest task of popping a Strong Lion, then surrendering when you get spotted and saying “[Hard] Do you know who I am?” With 18 Speech, 25 Charisma and 20 Persuasion, the guard took the bait and then we were able to walk out the camp - past all the guards - without a care in the world.

Then, when you get to Victoria who is sitting on a stump in the woods, speak to her, before saying “Hang in a while longer, I’ll be back.” She won’t acknowledge Black the first time you speak to her.

Then, speak to her again and Henry will say “You wanted your soldier? Well, here he is!” After that a cutscene and another conversation will trigger.

If Victoria is already dead, you took too long between picking up the side quest and deciding to do it, so you might need to reload an older save just for this achievement.

After the conversation has played out and the quest ends, the ‘Henry the Matchmaker’ achievement will unlock.
