How to unlock the Overkill achievement in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II - Definitive Guide
Hitting a rabbit in KCD2 with a bow and arrow is hard enough, especially on console with no reticule, but have you ever tried it with a rifle? No, well now you have to if you want this trophy. Unfortunately there’s no way really to make this easier, either. We tried the most expensive rifle with a whole array of ammo, and as it turns out, you have to use Scatter Shot ammo. It doesn’t unlock if you just use Lead Shot ammo - we know because we hit multiple “rabbits” with it and it didn’t unlock. It doesn’t matter what gun you use, though.
Now, the reason we put “rabbit” in speechmarks is because, if you actually go up to the carcass after you’ve killed it, they’re actually called “hares.” So: 1. You need to use Scatter Shot; and 2. Don’t worry that you’re only killing hares, that’s actually what you need to unlock this trophy.
In terms of where you want to do this and the best location for rabbits in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2… well, hares/rabbits actually spawn pretty consistently at most deer hunting locations, but our favourite was the woods to the east of Bylany. There, just slightly north of the stream is a deer hunting spot. From the stream, go north up the hill, over the path and stand in the shrubbery there. The reason we like this place is because of visibility. There’s no long grass for the rabbits to hide in, making this easier than most other deer hunting locations in the game.
Simply find a spot at around 10am and stand there, then make a save, and fast forward an hour until you see a rabbit. Shoot. If you miss, go forward another hour. Do this until around 7pm and if you haven’t hit one, then reload the save.
In terms of where to aim, remember that if you’re crouching you’ll have to aim higher than the bunny. If you’re shooting uphill, aim higher. Downhill, you’re good to line them up in the centre. Basically keep doing this until you hit and kill one, and when you do, the ‘Overkill’ trophy will unlock. Congrats! That’s the most annoying trophy in the game!

You will need a firearm and scattershot ammunition for this to unlock - lead balls do NOT count. You can buy scattershot ammunition from the south eastern gunmakers shop in Kuttenburg.
I'd recommend going to a hunting spot and then saving once you see a rabbit (for whatever reason whenever I loaded a save they would run off). Sneak up on it, aim lower than you think and you should kill it, which will unlock the achievement.
Sure hope it doesn't take anyone else an hour to do this, best of luck

You need to aim the gun lower than the rabbit as it shoots quite a bit higher than where the tip of your gun is. This can be very difficult and may take a few tries. See the video below for visual guidance of what I've said above as well as the exact spot i found my rabbit (i don't know if the spawns are static but cant hurt to try)
