How to unlock the Tales of Kuttenberg achievement in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II - Definitive Guide
**Missable**
The 18th main quest, “Taking French Leave,” will see you head to rescue Hans from Maleshov fortress, which has been occupied by von Bergow and his troops. However, getting in is no easy feat, and before you leave the Ruthard’s palace in Kuttenberg, you’ll have to speak to Rosa, the daughter, about a secret entrance.
Before you leave, however, if you say you’re glad to help the Ruthards, Rosa will ask you to retrieve a book for her, in the aptly named side quest, “Rosa’s Book.” Now, the reason this is missable, is that it seems that you only will get access to Maleshov once - at least that’s what’s inferred. So, you need to grab it when you’re saving Sir Hans during this main quest..
Luckily the book is easy to find, though… especially when you know where it is. The book can be found in the central tower, one floor below where Sir Hans is being held captive. The red and gold bound book can be found on the window seat in Lady Ofka’s quarters. Sure, she may be in there, but if you walk up behind her and knock her out, you can grab the book without causing a scene.
Do that, and later return to Rosa and offer to help finish her book when she asks. Once you finish it, the ‘Tales of Kuttenberg’ achievement will unlock.
During the main quest “Taking French Leave”, you’ll be tasked with speaking to Rosa. She will give you an objective to get her book, make sure you agree with this!
After making it into the fortress and a cutscene,
wait until the objective is to “Free Hans”.
You have to get into the tower, either lock pick/keys, and make your way to the 2nd floor. Inside a the left hand door, there is a woman sitting on a stool. Choke her out, and on the window to her right is a red book.
Bring the book back to Rosa after the mission, say any choices you want. Read the book and speak to her again, saying you’ll see her again.
Achievement unlocked!
