How to unlock the Arena Master achievement in Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Definitive Guide

Every 7 days there will be a tournament in the upper Rattay castle’s courtyard. To trigger the tournaments to start, talk to the blacksmith in Samopesh. And say that you will help him.
Travel to the upper Rattay castle, and find “Herald” sitting next to the fighting area. Talk to him to learn the rules, then select: “I want to enrol in the tourney!”.

if the response is “you have to wait”.. then wait a day and try again. (can take up to 7 days).

As HellCreeper666 mentioned:
You need to fight the tournament 5 times to get a full set of Armour from Sir Hanush.
One tournament = 6 fights (if you win).
Thats a total of 30 fights won, for the Achievement to unlock.

I played through the entire game only using the bow, so my sword skills were really low.
My strategy:
Starting each roud, pushing the enemy into the corner, making it difficult for them to dodge your attacks,
See video for an example:

Note there is also a bug that will cause you to lose some or all of your inventory when you enter the tourney.

I had to restart a few times due to all sorts of issues... I always waited 7 days away from Rattay.

Loaded up a save from earlier in the story, during Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience main quest seems to be working, earned the shoulders.

Herald always tells me to wait for the next tournament to take place, even after I've waited like 12 days (I've waited in Rattay just in front of Herald)... What do ?
Edit : Nevermind, fixed, somehow...

What if you accidentally sold one of the armor pieces?

I accidentally sold/lost the pauldrons at some point during my playthrough in 2020. I started the game back and won my 5th Rattay tournament. When I was awarded the cuirass, the achievement unlocked. It is possible to still get the achievement even if you have "lost" some of the other pieces along the way.

You can do tourneys back to back by FFW'ing to next week. Here's how: talk to the Herald, ask if you can wait here until the next tournament, then talk to him again and choose the option about lodging. Pay 120 groschen and you'll shortly wake up at the start of the next tourney. Much faster than doing it 24h at a time at the regular waiting pace.

Here in the year of our lord 2024 to say you don’t need to keep the armour you win each time to get the achievement! I sold almost every piece as soon as I got it and still popped after winning my 5th tournament I think

Seems glitched atm there's a trigger that doesn't happen to start up the following tournament doesn't seem to affect everyone but warhorse said they plan to release a 1.7.1 patch soon. could also be some way to trigger in some order that maybe skips it but after 14 hours from the start i haven't found a way, waiting next to the Herald or leaving for a different town and waiting doesn't changed it. Also normal or hardcore had the same result for me.

The Rattay tourney is held once a week (as far as I can tell) at the upper castle in Rattay. It's all for leveling your stats through combat and mastering combat controls.

DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT THIS UNTIL YOU DO ALL TRAINING WITH CAPTAIN BERNARD

For whatever reason, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED to do any tricks like clinching UNTIL you learn it from Bernard. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED to counter until you learn it from Bernard. They, however, are not Henry, and they can bash your head in with the hilt of their sword all they like, and you can't do anything about it. All of your combos outside of slash-stab-repeat are locked behind perk points.

IMO, combat is busted, so good luck with this one, especially if you've just started.

Something else that bugs me is that the enemy can send his shortsword straight for your eye (hits your chest/neck) over your shield and Henry doesn't instinctively raise his shield to stop it. You don't need training to cover your frickin eyes.

You'll obtain the activity "Rattay Tourney" early on in the game but I recommend waiting to do it until you have a decent amount of experience in combat, as the fights can be rather challenging. You're not allowed to use your own weapons or armor. When you're ready, you can enroll by talking with the Herald. If you wish, you can talk to Sir Hans Capon and he'll make you his page for the tournament and pay for the entry cost. I'm not sure if this has any effect on the tournament whether you become his page or not. Also, the Headcracker perk has no effect here so don't bother with that.

There is 5 different tournaments you'll need to compete in to get all 5 pieces of armor. There are 3 different people you'll need to face in each tournament in a best 2 out of 3. The first round you are able to pick your weapon, the second and third one is chosen for you.

These pieces of armor you are going to collect include: Lords of Leipa Gauntlets, Pauldrons, Hounskull, Chausses and the Cuirass.

The set consists of five pieces of armor - cuirass, gauntlets, shoulder pads, helmet and shoss. Accordingly, to get them all in the tournament you need to win five times.

Parts of the armor you win can be sold, but the trophy will still drop.

There is a funny bug in the arena with pickpocketing, if after winning, towards the end of the Herald’s dialogue, you approach one of the NPCs and start stealing from him (for this you need to have the “Comrade”, “Crowd Control” perks and at least level 8 pickpocketing), then you will Henry will continue to rob the victim when the round changes, you will be able to run and wave your weapon when the round is announced and defeat your opponent before the start of the round.

You need to win 5 tournaments (because for each tournament they give 1 item out of 5) 3 rounds in each. In each round you must win 2 victories, in case of 2 defeats in a round you will be eliminated. After talking with the manager, you can skip the time until the next tournament. You can use potions before the start of the tournament if you are experiencing difficulties. For example, artemisia, ox blood - they act for 10 minutes.
