How to unlock the Level Cap achievement in Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Definitive Guide

This achievement unlocks once the Main Skill hits level 20.

I began to pay close attention to this skill as once you hit level 17 this really begins to slow down. I feel as though I was on levels 18 & 19 for longer than the rest combined. Here is what I learned, I thought all combat and skill increases contributed to main level but THEY DO NOT.

I pressed the info button on the Main level to get a description and noticed it says level is derived from your stats and progress through the game .

**Combat and skills do not increase main level at all, Only Stats which are Strength, Agility, Vitality, Speech & Progression in the Main Campaign.** To test this out I increased 8 skills and none of them increased main level. Therefore it is only Stats and Main Campaign Quests.

The best way of increasing your stats is combat, if you are on a non lethal playthrough make sure you participate in the Rattay Tourney every 7 days, this is easily the best method method to increase stats and combat skills without risking killing anyone.

In terms of game progress, I believe that main quests provide the biggest boost to progression, but I also believe the game calculates playtime & overall quest completion

I believe that increasing stats really helps out early to mid game once you hit level 15+ then you are relying on completing main quests. I was at main level 19 at 96% all stats were 20 except agility I then leveled agility and it increased it 2%, so you can see that once you main level is really high stats dont have much impact.

I disagree that only the main stats and main quests impact this. I'm working through the DLCs and my % on main level keeps going up after I complete DLC quests. Some skills also cause it to go up but not all of them, or at least not enough to show when rounded. But then again lower level skills seem to have less impact on the percentage than higher level skills. I'm L19~55%, I have only 1 main attribute at 20, the rest are below 15, I've completed the monastery mission but all the side quests and all but 1 DLC + tournament. Several of my skills are maxed out and several times when a minor skill went up I got a notice my main level increased. So I think all of the skills impact main level but there is probably a weighted value being used.

What was the quickest way for you to level Agility to Level 20, mentioned in your last paragraph?

Very important to note that your stats have to be maxed out in order to max out your main level. So if you have strength, agility, vitality and speech at level 20 and sufficient main story progress, you will unlock this achievement.

You need 20 in STR, VIT, AGI and SPC to pop this. Facts.

Tier IV skill books give you a lot more XP than the lower counterparts. I looked up the agility IV book and it maxed out my AGI. Prior to reading I was lv19 with 30% towards 20.

STR - land hits with strength weapons (longsword, mace, unarmed)
AGI - land hits with agility weapons (shortsword, bow)
VIT - burn stamina whichever way possible. e.g. blocking attacks or spam jumping up an incline
SPC - exhaust dialogue options (repeat lines in grey wont count)

Final comment is totally false. All you need is to max main level. I just popped it at main level 20 while speech was 18 and vitality was 19.

The maximum level in this is 20. You gain levels by levelling up your four main stats: Strength, Agility, Vitality and Speech. If you go to the main menu and go to the Player tab, under the Stats sub-tab, you can check out each stat and press to view the description of each one and it will tell you how each stat levels up.

By just playing the game you will increase your stats so run, talk to people and fight the enemies, eventually you will hit your cap.

The maximum level in the game is 20.

The overall level increases as you gain experience points in other characteristics and skills, so to reach level 20 at least by the end of the game, you will have to complete the maximum number of side quests, activities and develop to the maximum (that is, to level 20) more than half of all possible skills and characteristics in the game.

Some minor skills, such as pickpocketing, picking locks, herbalism, alchemy, etc., can be easily developed by repeating these actions as often as possible (experience is also awarded for automatically brewing potions and picking light locks).

In my opinion, the overall level depends on the character's stat levels, not on skills. So I got stuck at 88% of lvl 19 and leveling up my skills didn’t give me any overall experience. But pumping up agility (level 17 at that time) through fist fighting and fighting with a short sword began to contribute to the main level. Accordingly, when all the characteristics of the steel were level 20, the total also became 20.

In short, if at the end of the game you have a little left to level and don’t have enough strength or agility to reach 20, go to any city and start cutting everyone down with a weapon with the desired stat, I raised my agility from 18 to 20 in Sazva in 15 minutes.

Norito absolutely correctly noted that the overall level depends only on the main characteristics of the character - Strength, Dexterity, Vitality and Eloquence. Therefore, to get level 20, you need to pump up all 4 characteristics to level 20:
- Strength - the easiest way to level it up is through fist fights with Bernard, it also makes sense to take the perk from Herbalism to level up strength while collecting herbs, since you will still have to collect 10,000 herbs for the David Horak trophy.
- Dexterity - again, fist fights will be the best option, since fights with a short sword end faster, and with fists you can “dance” with Bernard for half an hour.
- Vitality - the easiest way - jumping, with the help of simple jumps Vitality is boosted at enormous speed, and you can jump on the spot, and in order to be able to jump immediately after landing, you just need to rotate around your axis using the right stick.
- Speech - as I already wrote in the Bard trophy - the easiest way to boost speech is to get caught pickpocketing by the guards and immediately tell them about the secret mission. At the same time, pay attention to the level of eloquence of the guard - each time it will grow, and the higher it is, the more eloquence points you get. Moreover, when it exceeds yours, the guard will stop being convinced. In this case, pay off with pennies and move on to the next one.
