Master Defender
To obtain master defender, you must acquire each of the following shields for Goofy.

Knight's Shield - Default
Stout Shield - Item Shop - 250 munny
Smasher - Item Shop - 250 munny.
Mythril Shield - Item Shop - 750 munny.
Gigas Fist - Item Shop - 1000 munny.
Golem Shield - Item Shop - 1000 munny.
Onyx Shield - Item Shop - 2800 munny
Adamant Shield - Item Shop - 4000 munny.
Genji Shield - Defeat Yuffie in the Hades Cup.
Herc's Shield - Complete the Hercules Cup.
Save the King - Complete the Hades Cup time trial.
Defender - Random Drop - Dropped by Defender (0.2%).
Mighty Shield - Chest at the World Terminus.
Seven Elements - Item Synthesis.
Dream Shield - Speak to Merlin after acquiring all seven spell Arts.

Mighty Shield
Here's where you can find Goofy's Mighty Shield that will help you towards your goal of unlocking Master Defender. The location you can find it is called End of the World. Specifically, the chest is located in the Neverland zone.

Dream Shield
This one might take the longest to farm. You have to win the white mushroom mini-game for each magic element and return them to merlin.

Defender Shield
Defender shields have an extremely low chance of dropping from slain Defender Heartless found in Hollow Bastion and other locations. The quickest areas to farm this are in Traverse Town in the Hotel Hall and District 3. I dropped mine in District 3 after about 500 slain Defenders. It will help your chances if you equip Lucky Strike and Encounter Plus abilities

For this trophy you must obtain all of Goofy's Shields, most of which are purchased from the Item shop in Traverse Town. Here is a list of all of Goofy's Shields:

Dream Shield

For the Dream Shield you must collect Spell Arts from White Mushrooms throughout the game, they will give you a spell art after you use the same spell on them three times. The easiest way to do this is to simply wait in front of one and wait for them to go into the pose you want for your desired spell. Here are the poses the white mushrooms do and the proper spells to use against it:

  • Shivers - Fire
  • Fans itself - Blizzard
  • Light appears overhead - Thunder
  • Falls to ground - Cure
  • Spins - Aero
  • Stops - Stop
  • Floats - Gravity

Once you have acquired them speak with Merlin for your Shield. If you need quick locations for White Mushrooms here are spawn points they will likely show up in:

  • Deep Jungle: Camp
  • Halloween Town: Graveyard
  • End of the World: Linked Worlds
  • Atlantica: Sunken Ship
  • Agrabah: Treasure Room
  • Wonderland: Lotus Forest


Seven Elements

This will be in the last recipe list during Item Synthesize, the materials needed for this are:

  • 3x Blazing Stone
  • 3x Frost Stone
  • 3x Thunder Stone
  • 5x Dazzling Stone

  • Seven Elements (synthesize from: 3 Blazing Stone - drops from Chimera in the Manor Ruins location in Halloween Town; 3 Frost Stone - drops from Grand Ghost in Pinocchio's world (it must be fed Potions, Mega-Potions and Elixirs); 3 Lighting Stone - drops out in the world of Deep Jungle, in the location to the right of the camp, small black enemies often appear, you need to monitor their movements and guess, in general, a game of thimbles, if it’s difficult to keep track, you can constantly press start); 5 Dazzling Stone - drops from the Jet Balloon, you can find it on the deck of a ship in the world of Peter Pan)

The easiest way to farm the staff and shield is in the corridor in Traverse Town, where we first meet Yuffie, Leon and Iris.
The tactic is simple: we put on the Encounter plus ability, so that when leaving the room and entering it again, the enemies will respawn, in this corridor there are the magicians and defenders we need, it took me an hour or two to farm, but the method is effective because There are practically nowhere in the game where these enemies appear next to each other and only them
