How to unlock the Crowned achievement in Kingdom: New Lands - Definitive Guide
This achievement is now unlockable after an assumed glitch preventing it from unlocking.
My suggestion for this achievement is to follow Krushner20's guide for the "All Hands on Deck" achievement with a few strong suggestions.
I suggest you play the previous islands untill you find a unicorn mount; the poop gold will be invaluable to start your keep as you have a lot of difficulty getting new resources. I also recommend that you find a baker in a previous island and take him with you. If he is riding the back of your mount, he will travel with you in the boat. The baker in my opinion is invaluable as well because the beggar camps are usually far behind the portals. When you put gold into the bakery, you will attract the beggars at usually 2-3 every day or so. This is the only practical way to get more population as the camps are usually a days ride away.
Keep your bread up, if you can find a ballista maker, turn your towers that aren't your bakery into them. If you can, only attack the portals on the dock side. Attacking all of them is too resource intensive. Do not expand super far from your keep. I only ever had the first 4 walls and towers, and I did fine. You will spread your forces too thin, and if a breach happens, you will have a hard time recovering.
Rush the boat, and all should be well.
Good luck!

Pro tip: use the bear mount to kill rabbits and/or deer if you have too few archers to go hunting.
I didn't have the baker so it took me ages to get new followers. I had to basically wait until I destroyed all (three!) portals between me and the little refugee camp. So I hopped around on my bear and killed everything I could, I know it's not the fastest mount, but you make a lot of money and you can still micromanage the statues (especially the archer one, potentially the builder; if they are not too far away), your city defences and upgrade the boat on it each day.

This is awarded for defeating the final island.

You could say it's a plot trophy - obtained after sailing from the fifth island. On the fifth island there are 3-4 portals on each side and fierce red moons. But the tactics remain the same - we upgrade walls and towers to the maximum, farm archers (ideally through a cook), upgrade towers to crossbows (through grandma), buy a catapult and then continue pumping up the kingdom to unlock knights and build a ship.
