How to unlock the Stormy Waters achievement in Kingdom: New Lands - Definitive Guide

Try to make sure that you bring at least 2 knights with you in the ship from the previous land. If you play smart you could actually have up to 3 Knights with you at this point, as the Knights you bring with you are surplus to the ones you buy from the castle so make sure you don't lose them. Also make sure before you leave the second land that your purse is full as the coins carry over.
When you arrive find the camp and upgrade as quickly as possible obtaining the free walls and archer towers. Scout the map and see which end that the dock is on (you will encounter portals on both sides but should be able to run past, if a greed appears either run or make sure you have a few coins on you to drop if need be. Once you establish which side the dock is on, as soon as you can attack the portal on that side. I used the knight I brought over with the accompanying archers, if you upgrade the archer statue this makes the portal easier to destroy. Be sure to supervise the attack and lay a few coins by the portal to keep the greed from attacking your troops.
When this is done, be sure to convert the destroyed portal into a teleport station to assist with saving time travelling the map. Then concentrate on using this side for clearing trees, clear as many as possible and build A LOT of archers, they will use the cleared land to hunt rabbit which provides massive profit. Do not bother with farms they are a waste of time in my opinion. Clearing the trees will also allow your ship to get to the dock much faster. Be sure to build the extra Knights on that side so that you can take more troops with you to the next land. If the ship is on the other side try to expand beyond it so your builders aren't in danger when trying to build it, this will also give the boat an unobstructed journey.
I am assuming if you have made it to land 3 that you are getting the hang of the game so have not put basic instructions in regarding base building.
As always, comment me for feedback which I welcome and I will amend/add any points. If you have to down thumb me please explain why. This game is solid, hope this helps you guys
EDIT: in case you are not aware in order to obtain knights you need to purchase shields which hang over the keep. This can only be done when you have upgraded the wooden structure known as the architect structure from wood to stone. This structure is usually found on its own at one side of the map
EDIT 2: ***TOP TIP*** when you initially use the 8 coins to start building the ship, there is a shorter side and a taller side. The taller side points in the direction of the dock so you will know which side it is on without having to explore

Hi! Nice guide, but it doesn't explain enough, especially since you say in your guide to All Hands On Deck to read this guide. I had to track down the wiki to figure it out.
Knights require a Keep. A Keep requires an Architecture Shrine. These are not clear. I couldn't figure out how to make Knights until I looked elsewhere.

The third island is very similar to the second but there is normally 2 portals in-between the boat and the dock. You'll want to upgrade your dockside walls up to at least tier 3 here as after destroying the 1st portal the greed will attack that side from the second portal. Ideally you want to have both portals destroyed before day 10 along with the majority of the boat built.
